While Venezuela's people continued to prosper, an alliance with the United Kingdom was attempted twice, both times in failure.
This signaled to the people a large failure in the Conservative ruling party, to guarentee their own independence.
Meanwhile across the Atlantic the Egyptians suffered a great loss of terrtory to the Ottomans, while the United States started a war with Mexico. This was only the beginning of the turbulant times to come.
By 1844 Idealogical Thought was researched, leading way to Basic Chemistry, a prequset for Interchangeable Parts.
By 1845 Basic Chemistry was researching giving way to the finial tech needed for Experimental railroads. In addition another election was held, the Conservatives once again comming into power. With the help of Conservative Idealogical Thought inventions, plurality decreased by 25%. This would hopfully be the last time such measures were taken to abuse the electorial system.
Meanwhile numerous inventions gave way to new possibilities in industry and plantation production, overall increasing Venezuela's overall exports by at least two.

While back home Mechanized Minning was researched, giving way to Ad-Hoc Bill Printing.
By 1848 the government had about $10,000 saved up and began an ambitious (for Venezuela's size) program to promote capatalism. Over the course of three months The largest population in the National Capital of Caracas was converted into capatalists, and taxes were lowered for the rich to help them build.
