Part 23: Teaching the Future
22nd January 1017 - 21st July 1017
We have a nuke now but we will not use such weapon lightly for it causes mass destruction and we want to help the world rebuild. We are handling the war in Griffonia by ourselves so I have not accept the call from my faction members to join the war.
24th January 1017. My war goal justification has finished but House Eyrie has been guaranteed by Skyfall.
Skyfall has decent strength but I am confident I can take on them and the River Coalition at the same time with my troop numbers. I will prepare my troops to fight Skyfall as well.
11th March 1017. The advance against the River Coalition continues and the capital of Lake City is captured.
23rd March 1017. This is the day just before the war goal expires so I declare war on House Eyrie.
On the border with Skyfall I set up some divisions to simply hold the border.
Further north. The island holding will also be invaded.
As the House Eyrie invasion begins my troops quickly overwhelm the outnumbered defenders. Once House Eyrie is defeated I will move these divisions to the border with Skyfall.
Skyfall shortly joins after my war declaration on House Eyrie.
28th March 1017. The next focus will help nuclear research. While we already have the nuclear bomb. The expanded tech tree in EAW means I have 2 more nuclear techs I can research which increase research speed so this focus is still useful.
29th March 1017. Teaching the next generation.
King Garibald Talonuel III of Wingbardy is dead. Despite our misgiving about monarchism, King Talonuel is a respectable griffon. He is succeeded by his son who is clearly not as popular with the people as his father.
The King being replaced with national sprit of his son.
31st March 1017. Helping our friends.
2nd April 1017, Rebuilding with our friends.
4th April 1017. House Eyrie is defeated and I annex them. I send the divisions I used to the Skyfall border.
13th April 1017. Lake City is defeated. What follows is me constant resetting of frontlines that are in the wrong place or reduced to one provinces.
16th April 1017. The situation on the Skyfall border. The initial divisions lost a province or two but the divisions that arrived after defeating House Eyrie have reinforced the frontline. After gathering uo the planning bonus I start the battle plan to attack Skyfall.
18th April 1017. I switched my industrial concern from the electronics company to the Socialist Guild of Free Mages. Less division attrition and supply consumption is very good in my book.
28th April 1017. The attacks on Skyfall push them back but I the Skynavian army does face difficulties attacking certain areas and I stop the battle plan to let my divisions gather their strength for another planned attack.
15th May 1017. I start a war justification on House Avian
6th June 1017. I cannot do the last 2 focuses so I do construction engineering as my continuous focus. I need to eb a modern society to do Looking to the Stars. To become a modern society I need to do the Land of Peace and Plenty but I need to be at peace to do that focus.
7th June 1017. The territories of Skyfall have been cut off from each other.
9th June 1017. In the east our advance against the River Coalition continues and we knock out several more of their member nations.
15th June 1017. The city of Skyfall has been captured.
The capture is enough to cause the entirety of Skyfall to surrender.
Skyfall did deal us some decent casualties. In the peace deal I annex them.
The war screen on 1st July 1017.
2nd July 1017. I send the offer to Watertowns for their integration.
19th July 1017. The advance on the Rover Coalition continues and Nimbusia is defeated.
These are the remaining River Coalition members. I am not sure how it works exactly but the River Coalition isn't suppose to surrender until all River Coalition nations are defeated. The River Republic is given high surrender limit here.
21st July 1017. The River Coalition just surrendered and in the peace deal I was able to annex most of the territories while Wingbardy annexed a few. To achieve the dream of a Pan-Griffonia I must take the territory held by Wingbardy. After which we can go north to beat the Dread League.
