It would be really nice if the player had some options on their count tutor to configure the tutoring of newborn house members so the process is automated. It really kills the immersion of a crusade when you're playing as an older ruler and get a pop-up from you family every few seconds that a new child has been born. I think this could be largely automated with the following suggestion once the place has a court tutor.

In the same window where the court tutor is appointed there should be additional options to the player when having the court tutor selected:

- Checkbox to automate tuition (get tutor to manage)

- Check box with options to automate name from culture/dynasty/

- Config area to automate education focus. This could be a table with male/female gender across the top with the different education focuses down the side. Each section could have a % slider so the player can select what % of newborns of each gender are assigned into each education focus. example:

Male Female
Martial 60 5
Steward 10 60
Learning 20 5
Diplomacy 5 10
Intrigue 5 10

This setup would mean that 60% of newborn males are automatically assigned to martial etc. and 60% of females are automatically assigned to steward etc.

- Check box to auto-assign guardian
- Priority list to configure guardian type - faith convert, culture convert, education focus stat.

Check box to enable/disable auto tuition for player heir.

This would allow the player to focus on other aspects of the game while also giving them freedom to customise how and when tuition is handled.

Rather than it being based on gender, why not make it based on childhood learning trait? And why that ratio? Especially for Martial, shouldn't basing it on gender roles (cultural and/or religious) also have some bearing? But I think the main way it works should be based on childhood learning trait. A Bossy character should be martial or stewardship focused, for example. Pensive would be stewardship/learning, ect. And then the focus should be which ever is higher. Let's say a bossy child has am 4 martial, 5 stewardship. It automatically puts the focus as stewardship.
Only problem with that is once a focus is taken, it can't be changed... if it's done automatically, but for some reason you want a different focus for the character, well, then you just got screwed out of it.

Yar, prioritize education by childhood learning trait could certainly be added as another checkbox option.

The ratios I've given are just an example of how the player might set up their game, the point was to think of system that provided a lot of customization for the player and for the system to be automated whilst making sure key characters get the attention they need.

Regarding the problem with being unable to change focus... If this system were employed then I don't see why a 3rd opportunity to change childhood focus couldn't be added. This could be considered as the ruler overruling their court tutor as opposed to the ruler changing their mind.
