Struggling as Epirus and doing ok.

However, I noticed an interesting feature that most of you have seen before: Antigonid declared war on Lysimachid, so every Greek state declared war on Antigonid. Now I (Epirus) declared war on Lysimachid as well, to take advantage of the situation...

At least I thought so...

Not only do all Greek states declare war on me, but Antigonid too!

How can they reasonably get a casus belli on someone declaring war on a nation with which they already fight (and having declared) a war?

Anyway, I understand that this is a peculiarity of Greek culture, etc., in EUR.

But what is the best strategy in this situation? Avoiding declaring war, and instead wait to declared upon?

All input useful!

Great mod still!

Just backstab your allies and annex everyone. Easy way to get CB is failing at an assassination.
Try to keep Cassanders and Antigonids at war all times.

Ally with the allies of your target. If successful they will not be able to call them in (and they will not call in their allies and so on). Can be easier said then done though. If unable to do this, call in your allies and hope they answer the call and ask their own allies to join.

Many thanks for your input, guys.

Maybe it actually makes sense to wait to be declared war upon, instead of declaring war myself?

I mean, with Cassandrian long gone, Antigonid and Lysimachid expanding rapidly, it is just a question of time before they hunger (again) at my territory. And then, if things are fair, their Greek non-allies should declare war on them (as I am Greek too)? Right?

It ain't easy and it shouldn't be easy... But I'm still longing for that patch!
