  • Stellaris
Hi! I just bought Stellaris on Steam today, but I can't launch it as the loading screen comes up and then it crashes. I tried to do the fix mentioned on other post like
- setting the game to windowed instead of full screen
- installing VC++ both the x86 and x64 version
- running the game straight from stellaris.exe
- reinstalling stellaris
- checking file integrity
- turn off my windows defender when launching

Here's my dxdiag, any idea what I need to do for it to work?

I have seen that Windows error c06d007e against Stellaris before, but we never found the root cause:

Basically they did a Windows Reset and it came good, so clearly there was a Windows problem of some sort. Is that something you could contemplate? Are you having any other Windows problems, would you say?

I'm having the exact same issue and I tried the same things. This is my DXDIAG, what can I do?

When I try to run stellaris.exe I get the window with the logo but it shuts down immediately with no error prompt.

You don't have the same problem, actually. In future please make your own fresh thread, thanks.

The game is crashing in poco.dll:

P4: poco.dll_unloaded
which i believe comes with the nvidia software. Please try this:

- uninstall your nVidia driver and all other nVidia software
- reboot
- install the latest (June 2021) from here:
- reboot again

Good luck with that!

Thank you very much for your help. This fix has worked indeed. I'm sorry about not creating a new post: I tried to but the forum gave me an error, so I guessed I would reply to the most related post I could see.
