Well Sad to see Byzantium go BUT we Trebizond should make it since it lasted until 1461. Guess we can look forward to some nice "take over the fallen crown event" :D

well not obvious at all from the thread title that someone mentioned Trebizond and I can´t read every single post in a mega long thread before posting ;)

Yes a mod is an obvious alternative but I am pretty sure we will get some alternative in the vanilla too. There are too many Byzantium freaks out there :p

One can only hope...

I suggest a mega-Byzantium moaning thread, where everyone can complain about this injustice.

Unplayable nations is not common in Paradox games so no don´t think so. Especially not considering the huge Byzantium fan-club here :)

That's exactly why they would be made unplayable. :D

considering the pains you took to make Byz playable and managable, in CK, I say you can say what you wish on that regard.

The only thing that we need now for EU3 (us byz-Y boys) is ... a provision for Trebizond and Morea, once it claims thrace to BECOME THE BASILEIA OF ROMAION.

Because, if however you look at it, Megalokomninoi or Komninoi of Trapezous (that is trebizon to you) were the direct descendants of Angelos Komninos and all the others.

Just you make a provision for the Aytokratoria to exist, O YE Mighty Paradox! Your faithful gaming public awaits your decision with baited breath.

It's the socialist's taxing policy that forces Paradox to shorten the time period

When EU3 comes out I will transilate my Age of Islam and Byzantium mod to it. Im sure Paradox will give us a Byzantium tag even if it is not ingame.

There could also be the Crimean Theodore of Mangoup. This micro-principality is to be found in the mymap 1419 scenario. It was smaller in extent than the Genoese territory of around Kaffa, also on Crimea. Morea and Trebizond were titans compared to that territory. I hope it is included. It was one of the last Byzantine territories.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mangup
Even becouse of Historical truth, and couse they are european should they be included. And if yes, nothing against a chance to Restore Byzantine/Latin Empire/Eastern Roman Empire
