I'd like to be given the ability to rename ships however I want. Same goes for cohorts and cities. I love renaming stuff in games for RP reasons.

Expansions to China and Japan would make more sense the Qin or Han dynasty after 100 year into the game.Expansions into Africa and perhaps the New World in store?
