So convoy raiding is back in lastest patch and AI is using, spamming small fleets in dozens of sea nodes. And it works. Few months into war against any great power and you're basically in total blockade.

So my question is - how we suppose to defend against convoy raiding? Deploy dozen of fleets in all important sea nodes with convoy escort missions or what?

I think for the time being that's the only way. I have only had one naval war in the new patch, but so far it seems that ships are unsinkable and fleets quickly return to action after a defeat, so you just have to cover as many nodes as you can.

I will give it a try. I had already several war and convoy raiding was devastating. I loosing any market access to overseas provinces so each war was 15-25% GDP drop. And it takes months after peace to get back to normal...

Yet another reason I would prefer the naval and convoy routes from HoI4. It feels like the right amount of abstraction without forcing players to deal with the 20 odd nodes that trade would pass through.
