Bavaria 1729-1774: Short Story Of Drama, Treachery, Backstabbing, Lowly Tactics And How Good Triumphed Over Evil

Prussia and Bavaria had been attacked savagely earlier on, Venice had taken Krain with Ottoman support, Sweden some Prussian provinces and France provinces from both victim countries. Bavaria wanted to gain Krain back since a port is of High Priority, and of course to slap the Ottoman Sultan a bit for his attack.

Thus Bavaria and Prussia made war on Venice and the Ottomans. Devastating warscore was quickly achieved. Venice ceded Krain and Ottomans 4 Hungarian provinces to Bavaria, with Prussia taking Siebenburgen territory. France had promised to let the Germans conduct this war in peace, but immediately after the war was over, assaulted Bavaria leaving us no time to regroup armies, replenish MP pool or lower war exhaustion.

This war then escalated with Sweden and Russia, for some obscure reasons, joined in on the attack on the Germans too. Bavaria barely managed to stop the French push with some Prussian help. Prussia concentrated to fight off Sweden and Russia. The Swedish King at this point lied to the dutch regent about there being a non-aggression pact between Sweden and NL, so NL didn't sink the Swedish fleet, letting Sweden operate freely in the Baltic.

At this point the Turk came back with vengeance; Bavaria saw no hope in winning that war, so we had to give up all the gains in Hungary. Friedrich II of Prussia however enjoyed fighting the Turk so much that they put up big resistance in Transilvania, made possible because of the relatively few Turkish troops committed by the astonished Sultan, the difficult terrain which limited the turkish approach, and of course the local presence and tactical genius of Friedrich II. So, OE agreed to let Prussia keep Transsilvania and peaced out.

Meanwhile Prussia had gained a force-peace on Russia. Russia was now presented with 2 options; befriending the Germans (A long NAP) or losing big. Russia chose to lose big, so Prussia took some 6 provinces to create a buffer there. After Friedrich II now marching to the Rhine, and a few more tough battles with the French, France gave Luxembourg & Trier to Prussia and Pfalz & France-Comte to Bavaria.

Sweden still fought on, but after a few stabhits, they ceded Warmia to Prussia. Then, with all good French leaders dead, Bavaria and France fought a civilized 1 on 1, with Bavaria gaining Lorraine. At this point, Prussia chose to strike pre-emptively on Russia (which already has Suvorov) since the enmity of Russia had been already established. And it looks like Russia is losing this one too.
