Game don't pass splash screen on launch [Steam/Windows 10]

Now that I've finished most of the games I was playing I decided to come back to this game that I've played only for 10 hours. For my surprise the splash screen shows up and it closes immediately after.

I am using the latest AMD drivers and also tried to find similar problems on the forum (no luck there).

Strange given that it's up to date, as you say. I suggest you try a clean reinstall of it:

- uninstall it with this:

https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMD-Clean-Uninstall-Utility.aspx

- reboot
- install it again by fresh download:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

- reboot again

Unfortunately, I follow all the steps and I get the same error as before.

Hey Vyccus, when the game crashes does it trigger the Crash Reporter? If so, after uploading the report it should show a name which we can use to locate it. Additionally try launching the game in Debug Mode so it generates a full log of what happens. The log can be found in \Paradox Interactive\Age of Wonders Planetfall\Logs.

Hello Jordi, my original post didn't mention it in a clear way but I am trying to play Surviving Mars and no Age of Wonders Planetfall.

No Crash Reporter is triggered and I couldn't find a way to start it in Debug Mode. Can you advise me on how to do that?

Ok, I found the problem and it's actually very stupid

I was using the latest version of Adrenalin 2020, which is the Optional version (v20.7.2). As soon as I installed the Recommended (WHQL) version (v20.4.2), which has not the latest version of the drivers it worked.

I can only imagine that the non WHQL version is lacking some sort of signature or has a different and not recognizable one.
