Naming the new state “Manchukuo” was however considered to be old and the new name was horribly overflowing with Japanese imperialism. Naming it “Manchurskaya SSR” instead was therefore quickly approved and put into effect. Together we shall sweep the fascism out of the Asian landscape, and after that from the rest of the world!

It was a short but hot update. Thanks for reading!

Why is Pu Yi still the Head of State? Has he been sufficiently reeducated in the virtues of socialism? :< (Pu Yi spent his last days as a gardener in Communist China after going through said course.)

They just don´t have anybody else. Their ideology is still fascism...

I think I´ll incorporate them later on into Communist China. Mao will be glad for the opportunity to lead unified China :)

Man, you post fast! I noticed your setup post a few days ago, thought it looked interesting, and the next time I take a look it turns out you're one page 6, you've liberated most of European Russia and Manchukuo is now a loyal Comintern vassal!

Anyway, complaints about the update rate aside :)p), I'm really enjoying this AAR. A nice concept to start with the Post-Bitter-Peace Soviet Union and you're doing quite well. I hope the Germans put up some more resistance at some point, though: it will make for a more entertaining read. :)

Bah, it´s not like I´m sitting on the computer the whole day. I have also schoolwork to do! :p

No problem comrade, update will be out in 30 ;)

I will regret this, but I´ve enacted the emergency draft for them. They need almost 1 000 (!) MP to mobilize. Maybe I did it way too late, but they really can´t be that stupid to deprive themselves of well needed, nope, necessary manpower! I did it just a while ago, so it will be in the next chapter after this one ;)

Thanks for support, I´m glad you like this AAR! :)

Chapter VII: The Road to Nanjing

So you want to encircle my division, eh? You cheese me, I´ll cheese you right back!

This kind of AI behavior just tears my brain apart. How could it allow the encirclement in the first place?

clipboard02rrf.jpg

Mengjiang is conquered and I´m taking care of that Bulgarian division from the last screenshot :)

clipboard04zb.jpg

I´ve penetrated deeper to China and stabilized the front in Korea. The supply in Asia is still surprisingly good.

clipboard06mq.jpg

AI wasn´t as aggressive as I would like (especially with motorized/armored divisions), so direct intervention is necessary (seriously, I almost forgot how to wage a war myself!).

clipboard08fs.jpg

Here is the OOB of my Chinese theater. HPP has a nice feature of extending radio lines via research, so while you have “only” 150 km base range with corps HQ at the beginning, I´ve noticed I´ve 400 km with it now, which is surely a great advantage (mainly for my stupid AI though).

clipboard10d.jpg

It is just too easy to roflstomp the Chinese. They usually need a full corps to stop my single division (even a regular infantry one).

clipboard12a.jpg

I´m keeping the Chinese on their ropes; meanwhile the AI is doing a decent job in Korea.

clipboard13cq.jpg

There was a huge pocket before; I´m sure there were at least 5 HQ and 2 militia divisions, I´m not sure about the rest :)

As our explo(-itation, -ration, but certainly not -sive)Panzers arrive in Nanjing, Wang Jingwei and his corrupt government flee to Berlin. I hope they have tickets also to Japan...

Updated again. Good comment, bad comment – throw them on me! :p

Just imagine what would have happened if Communism had really spread out that far...
Oh wait - it did!

Something went wrong back then in China. I think I´ll read something about it...

Well winning China wasn't probably so hard but I still kinda wonder how the conquering land back in Europe has gone that well. Good job so far!

It would´ve been far more successful if I hadn´t used the AI :p

China bites the dust... I didn't see any dates, but it seems like a speedy conquest. I guess the speed with which you could move through the country played a bigger role than the actual Chinese resistance in how long it took to complete this part of the war.

Does this mean more troops for the European theater? Could you even support them there, or do you need more infra to move the necessary supplies? Any decent gains in IC or manpower from your Chinese acquisitions?

I don't normally read or comment on HOI3 AAR's (since I quite like DH better! :p) but I have always loved the idea of seeing a post Bitter Peace Soviet Union get revenge on the victorious Axis powers. Good work so far, and I hope to soon see your army taking the fight deep into the German homeland itself!

It took me 4 or 5 months and I took direct control for the last month. Chinese resistance was non-existant, just see this quote:

They usually need a full corps to stop my single division (even a regular infantry one).

It didn´t really matter if there were some units; I´ve captured a lot of troops in Manchuria, so they were already weakened, and once you get the AI on her ropes, the only things that can stop you are manpower or supplies. Other than that, it´s a steamroll.

Europe has enough troops; at least enough supply troubles. I might shift the capital to Ufa (or Moscow) later on, because even these infra upgrades won´t save Red Army from constant supply issues. China has about 40 base IC (in fact Machuria migt be even richer than China), so the IC gain is pitiful for such an extended country.

Another newcomer! I hope I´ll fulfill your wish :)

Since you have enough of an army for your current tasks, have you thought of building up airfields and putting some Transport Planes on Air Supply? That's assuming you can guarantee them relative safety, of course. For such an extended and deep front it is one of the most efficient ways of moving supplies.

Comrade! Together we must wrestle back our lands from the Fascist scum! To Moscow! To Berlin! To war!

Seriously, nice AAR. I like the style, even though it's exactly the opposite of my own. I was wondering, if Communist China were in the Comintern, then you could surely 'liberate' them? Or do you have to wait for the axis to be destroyed so ROC can be broken up into various puppets? Either way, Mao would end up as a reliable puppet instead of a rival communist state.

I think I´ll shift the capital to Ufa/Moscow soon enough. The war in the Asia is almost over and remember I have 30 TPs :) I have only one transport plane, which was helping with supplies in Siam. It´s a shame that HoI3 has this quirky supply system, which will ground down to halt mostly major´s armies.

I always pondered doing a post bitter peace AAR... So It's very cool to see how it actually plays out. Good luck bringing communism back from the brink of destruction!

I guess you should finish your Japanese one first. Where have you been anyway? :p

I´m mostly being the Captain Obvious and decribe only the screenshot as you can see it. But sometimes I like to add not-so-obvious information or I just make a screenshot after some event I forgot to printscreen and then I can remember why have I ever made that one, when it´s basically not bringing anything new...

Yup, I have to conquer all Axis majors (Japan, Italy and Germany) to annex them and after that create puppets. For some reason, you can´t puppet a hostile puppet right away.
