The continued expansionism aimed policy of the Ottomans will force us to reevaluate ourselves regarding their government. They continue to show outward desires and to play the game of power again. The NaP we signed was based on no wars launched by them, but they have taken any and all steps they can come up with to tweak their nose at us and to expand aggressively around the NaP.
This latest move combined with their strong expansion efforts at the Arabian peninsula leaves us with no choice but to consider them both in violation of the spirit of the treaty and as a looming threat. We had thought the railroad push by Germany a positive idea but combined with the defense alliance it is instead clearly a move aimed towards the British empire as part of a long term push to weaken ties amongst the Commonwealth. Rather than any continued policy of friendship between their nations they instead sign a military alliance. Such will clearly only lead to a great war once again and over the most isolated of causes as with the last war. While we will hold back from spreading the web of alliances as a noose around peace, we are forced to consider changes to our current attempt to return to a more isolated posture.
