Although it's not relevant to the FotD origin, on the topic of mid game FP, I recommend Clone Army FP. If you turn on land appropriation and use forced labor (or anything but extermination), you may be pleasantly surprised by what you find. And a little bit of extra cheese lets you lean into it much more heavily.
