Congratulations! The mod looks fantastic. A big surprise was seeing the hoi4 style map at the very start.

I am wondering what is there left to do?
Do you feel the inclination to continue polishing it, do you think the mod is the "finished article" or what else do you feel could be done with it?

@novapaddy i'm really really proud of your kind of words.
I think you're one of the best modder of this wonderful community and your words on my job are much appreciated, thank you.
Anyway, i think Fatherland has reached an high level of "maturity". From the next release, how i've wrote in past post, i want to made a different approach (more 'agile'); i want made a type of DLC with more focus on single area or country, polishing and overhaul here and there. From the next releases my idea is consolidate the mod, without add too much contents.

Kwantung Army should totally be added as a revolter to allow for a Korean War situation to occur, as Manchukuo/Qing are too focused on China to do anything about Korea.

I'm still disappointed by the fact that there are some events that have been barely modified from their KR/1936 versions. I mean 'A new Four-Year Plan' says at first that it's made in 1948 but the following description is about 1935 and how Schacht was against rearmament. Same for Empire of Manchuria as they have Qing events that shouldn't be there (why would they need a Reformation if they are already been modernised by Japan?). Sorry for the rant, it's just that I can be a compulsive perfectionist kind of jerk sometimes.

It's a good idea, could be add in a DLC about Asia

Congratulations on a new release! I'll check it out this weekend.

Thank you so much @JJMerrill , as for nova, i'm really proud of your congrats

Don't worry, what you said it's true. I take a note about your observation and i'll try to review the descriptions.
As i said, i'm the only one developer on Fatherland and more thing could be not correct.

Congratulations on new version release,
So, here is some things that I noticed that have to be changed/added/fixed (some are mentioned earlier but it's still not fixed):
1. General Kirill Meretskov is CoS and CoA in Siberian DR, but, if Beria takes power in USSR Meretskov becomes CoS. So he should be removed from USSR ministers files.
2. General Yakov Smushkevich is CoAF in Siberian DR, but, he is killed in Stalin's purges in 1941. So he should not be present in mod. Same is for Y.Gamarnik CoS in Zuev Republic.
3. Poster for Siberian DR is poster of White Movement from Russian Civil War so no way that Socialists from Siberia would use it, so it has to be changed, but, that poster could fit well for Imperial Russia.
4. I think that idea of Axis and UN organisations as playable "country" that intervene around the world is excelent, so, Comintern should be also added. First Comintern intervention could be in China, later it could be very usefull for support of anti-colonialist wars in Asia and Africa or revolutions in South America.
5. Communist China and Serbia flags are upside-down and Free France flag is both upside-down and have colors are in reversed order.
6. Montenegrin government is full of ministers that are long dead in 1948 or have no ties with Axis, here is my suggestion for cabinet:
HoS: Sekula Drljevic
HoG: Blazo Djukanovic
FM: Jovan Plamenac
AM: Novica Radovic
MoS: Novica Radovic
HoI: Krsto Popovic
CoS: Blazo Djukanovic
CoA: Krsto Popovic
CoN: Under command of Italian Navy
CoAF: Under command of Italian Air Force
7. Hellenic State at start of the game is member of Axis, but, Greek government is completly made of pro-allies politicians, so, pro-axis cabinet should be made and added. Here is info for Greek collaborationism that could help rework of government.
8. Serbia is German puppet state, but, in government there is bunch of pro-allies politicians that led anti-fascist government-in-exile, here is info for Serbian collaborationism that could help rework of government. And here is my proposition:
HoS: Milan Nedic
HoG: Milan Nedic
FM: Milan Nedic
AM: Kosta Musicki
MoS: Dragomir Jovanovic
HoI: Dragomir Jovanovic
CoS: Kosta Musicki
CoA: Milan Nedic
CoN: Under Army Command (since country is landlocked)
CoAF: Petar Vukcevic

More will be posted as I play.

Since it is mentioned in changelog that revision of Soviet area in Asia will come in next update then here is my suggestion for that (I have mentioned that earlier, but, here is reminder, more elaborated and visualised):

Fatherland - Soviet Asia Revision Proposition.png

Soviet Union - Could remain the same as in current version. It was well done.

Siberian DR
- Option 1: Andrei Zhdanov was a stalinist hardliner and was planned for Stalin's successor so he (most likely) could not embrase some moderate or reformist version of communism. So, I propose that Zhdanov should be replased by Nikita Khrushchev (logical choise) or maybe Nikolai Bulganin, rest of Siberian cabinet fits fine. Another thing, A.Zhdanov died in 1948 in OTL, that would most likely also happen in mod's timeline so putting Khrushchev or Bulganin instead of him will solve that problem.
- Option 2: Whole Siberian DR is overhauled to be Siberian PR that is led by Zhdanov and other stalinist hardliners (this requires full cabinet change) who after secesion from USSR decided to embrase Maoisim and they in early game form alliance with PR Mongolia and Communist China.
I personaly prefer first option.

Imperial Russia
Small Imperial Russia between USSR and Siberian DR from current version is very unlikely, so, I propose that current territory should be divided by USSR and Siberian DR and Imperial Russia "be moved" to far east and merged with Far Eastern Republic.
Backstory: Kyra Romanov and general P.Bermondt-Avalov fled from Europe to Asia at same time when Japan is defeated and they arrived in Far Eastern Republic where they made agreement with FER leadership to proclaim Imperial Russia, HoS: Kyra Romanov, HoG: K.Rodzaevsky, CoS and CoA: P.Bermondt-Avalov, rest is current FER ministers.

PR Mongolia - I think that when USSR collapsed after WW2 Mongolian leadership would turn attention towards Chinese communists and embrase Maoism, it could even directly intervene in China as ally of Mao. In term of gameplay this would give Mao more military strength and could also make possible for Chinese Nationalists and Monarchists to deal with Mongolia as part of Chinese Civil War (without later complications with Soviets).

Turkestan Islamic Federation - Could remain the same as in current version, anyway Soviet Union wipes them in early game.

Thank you @Nesic8693 your feedback and suggestions are really appreciated.
As i said, the next release of Fatherland will be a sort of DLCs; i think one of them could be a Soviet Area DLC.

PS : Do you have a version of DH map white to send me ? Like that yo've used. Thank you.
Thanks for answer, I have map, but, it is not totaly white, anyway it could easily be recoloured, here it is:

Just wondering, Manchuria has events to slowly core China?
I was playing and, yeah I totally jumped outright against Korea and made it my puppet. :p
(I wanted their troops for my campaign against China)

After beating the crap out of both China's I waited...and waited...and waited.
But nothing took place so I chose to free Nationalist China as a puppet.

Eventually Soviet Union chose that Nat-China was a threat and declared war...
:p So right now I'm fighting against hordes of soviet troops, it has been quite fun though, sometimes I beat the crap out of them I was even able to free FER again!
But I'm losing western China haha.

I found a bug, as the USSR i joined china to defeat the KMT. We eventually won the war and the KMT retreated to Taiwan. However we are still at war. This breaks the game because i found that certain events require you to be at peace.

I've noticed an issue and I'm not sure if this is intended or not. I'm playing as Germany, and went to war with Italy after Operation OAK. Didn't take me long to crush the Italians and I puppeted 3 new states. However the forces I had in Italian peninsula went to my new puppet Italy. Almost 40 divisions are now Italian divisions. Could this be a bug?
