My point is:
If anything, the incentive to make CVEs is mince if even pre war battleships can outgun carriers.

Well they'd just skip a generation, its not like they will become ships and NEVER upgrade. And since prod costs would just explode for the very late game models, I think I'd want to keep making older but cheaper and proven models.

I'll see what can be done about CVEs, BBs and their distance because it's indeed, not fair a predreadnought having more distance than a CVE.
Regarding the upgrade system and all those, i have to admit that it's a nice you're making there, and i'll look into it.

Labels do provide visual help. But you already clearly see where are the infantry, cavalry, logistics..
And if things arent clear, click everywhere!
I've counted a wooping 89 labels..

Indeed, and i want to reafirm that the labels are not taking any tech reserved space, IE i place the techs first and then, in the surplus space i place the labels, look for instance where the nuclear label is placed.

As far as wing vs. squad, I only meant that I thought the the idea of triple speed for squads would be strange, considering most aircraft cruise and rebase at roughly their maximum historic speeds anyway; you'd end up with late interceptors going mach 9 or something. Squadrons would still be attractive in terms of time to deployment, however, based solely on increased morale; rebasing would decrease ORG for squads or wings equally, and squads would recover and begin fighting in the front faster. In other words, you wouldn't need to alter their speed to make them attractive for smaller, nimble countries.

Yes, and i said that i wouldn't alter their speed, so the speed of an air wing = the speed of a squadron. We agree on this.

My other idea was that doctrines from one branch (air force, navy, army) could have influence on another. Based on my specific example, some high-level air doctrine might have the effect of increasing army morale and organization. However, any cross-branch effect is possible and should be considered.

My specific example was from my understanding of US military history, and the role that research into air force doctrines had on army combat effectiveness or activity. There are doubtless others.

You might argue that there is no room, but I'd suggest adding these effects to existing late game doctrines. Just a thought.

As long as it's just adding more effects to already existing techs, there should not be any problem with it. And, BTW, we are still thinking about how air doctrines and naval doctrines could be expanded aside from the already mentioned minor countries tier.

Edit: By the way, why does the seaplanes cease to progress after 1941?? Sure helos replaced their role, but not that early right?

Hmmm since the Britons had also the Saunders-Roe Sr.A/1 there may be fuel for a jet powered floatplane... we just need to think about the effects.

when will the tech tree work in other scenarios like 1914?

It already works in 1914 scen simply because there are not techs for pre 1936 scenarios.

Could Technical Infantry be somehow represented? They'd be a very cheap version of moto infantry for poor or low tech countries, from the 50s onward.

Its Toyota warfare.
Essentially, the modern semi-moto mobile infantry non full moto, non mech units. It should exist in parallel to infantry from the 50s on, basically be a downgraded moto or faster inf unit.

The common procedure to apply this mod is:

1-Make a copy of DH Full folder.
2-Install CWTT Into that folder
3-Install AAR into that same folder
4-Enjoy.

Having trouble downloading this to the regular DH folder. Once I paste the Tech tree documents to the DH folder it asks if I want to merge the files which I click yes. It then asks me that there many files with same names and it gives me three options; 1. Copy and Replace, 2. Don't Copy 3. Copy but keep both items. I click Copy and Replace but when I try to launch the game to go to the main menu, the game crashes. I would appreciate any help because I would really enjoy using this tech tree. Thanks!

Funny, i always thought that a railgun was a fictional weapon from my teenage years videogames like Quake or Unreal Tournament...

However, i think that the railgun during the 80s didn't go beyond some theoretical concepts...
