Hi,

Is it possible to change which scientist is working on a special project?

I started a scientist on a really long project (space amoeba pacification) but have realised it was one researching an important technology.

Anyway to change scientist and will I lose research if I do?

THanks

you could swap out the scientist but the category of research (i.e. phys, soc, or eng) is fixed

I don't think you will lose points. But it won't allow the original scientist to continue researching the technology you are after. Your research is divided into three departments - Physics, Engineering and Society. All you would be doing is changing the head of department, and it is the department that is actually researching the technology, not the scientist. The scientist just gives bonuses to the department through their leadership.

Special projects are not tied to a specific scientist, they are tied to a type of research. There is no point in changing scientists, they'll always pause the research in the same category. You can stop a project, but then you have to start from scratch, so it's usually not advisable.

maybe just build more science buildings so it gets done faster
