Re: Swedish tanks

Here's the czechoslovak models.csv list. It's still unfinished, but much better than the in-game one. In some cases I used the prototypes names. In other cases I simply used czech names of foreign aircraft (Me-262, Spitfire, Bf-109...). There still might be some inconsistencies as I'm still not sure which czechoslovak prototype was a short-range fighter, which was escort, and so on. Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

Special Charecters

Are there some charecters that aren't supported? I have been able to add most of those language specific charecters with cutting and pasting. I might be putting an error in, but I haven't seen (or heard of) one. If anyone knows of any, please let us know. MDow

Don't know if it is a correct English word or an "italianized" one! :D
"Organic" means the personnel of a unit.

"Organic" means the personnel of a unit.

organic (DOD)
Assigned to and forming an essential part of a military organization. Organic parts of a unit are those listed in its table of organization for the Army, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and are assigned to the administrative organizations of the operating forces for the Navy.

Czechoslovakia will never get them in C.O.R.E. anyway, even if human-controlled. So what's the difference? :I

But it's an adjective, right?

Yes.
Therefore it requires a noun to make sense, doesn't it.
However, I suppose that he simply wanted to say organization instead of organic.

Motorized - Motorized Peziko
Don't you have any typically greek names for motorized units? The same goes for mechanized...
Submarine - Ypobryxio
Are you sure it is not "Urovruhio" in english transcryption?

When it comes to my czech list: I was quite astonished when I found out that czechoslovak factories had projects of naval bombers and even produced some decent torpedo planes (some were even bought by czechoslovak army as a towing plane for artillery targets).
Cheers

Don't ask me, it's probably just another trace of czechoslovak imperialist politics...

But seriously, the Swedes were trying to do their best to buy the licence...

I thought only Germany has the elite option so why bother nameing other country units?

..and as for the '44 Divisons, I think it is explained in the Doc text, German Wehrmacht revised the Divisons in 1944 to compansate for Menpower and used less ppl but more Support material like Inf guns, Arty etc to have the same firepower with fewer troops.

So Divison is acurate if U ask me, Brigade can be anything from Battalion to Korps size tho, its a loose organization naming.

Re: Greek Native Names

Elite Cavalry - Elite Ippiko

<snip>

Elite Motorized - Eidika Armata
Without speaking a single greek word...shouldn't it be Eidika Ippiko? Seems to be more consistent.

Lithuanian models

Ok, here we go - it's the list of basic unit names in Lithuanian. I'm not native speaker though, so if anyone is able to correct that (especially mechanized/motorized part could differ), feel free to post corrected names.

Infantry - Pestininkai

Motorized Infantry - Automobilis Pestininkai

Mechanized Infantry - Mechanizuotis Pestininkai

Moutain Troops - Kalnietis Pestininkai

Paratroopers - Parašiutininkai

Elite versions - no idea...

Marines - no idea...

Cavalry - Kavalerija

Short note:

Model.csv entry for infantry 'Waffen-SS' was fixed in the first few lines but not in 'GER' section. (0.61)
So it still shows'Waffen-SS' instead of '44-Infantry' (I fixed my csv myself)

Also a odd thing happens when upgradeing infantry with '44 Divisional reorg' researched, no matter what U upgrade too it ends up to be the '44 infantry (this prolly should go to bugsection and I post it there too)

In 0.7 there will be a new air unit: Carrier Air-Group, that will replace torpedo bombers.

I think it would be nice if everyone can help to translate "Carrier Air-Group" in each language....

Here's the italian one: "Gruppo Aereo Imbarcato"
