New player. Some things aren't clear in the game, like the tradeoffs when you're picking things in char creation.

I picked lightning magic twice, and now see a lightning sigil for sale in the game. Should I buy it?
 
IIRC, the first level purchase in the character creation screen basically is a sigil purchase. If you invest twice in the same skill that second investment is like a level up point in it.
So you can buy sigils, but not that skill level up point. Investing in two different magics just gives you the two sigils.
