New player. Some things aren't clear in the game, like the tradeoffs when you're picking things in char creation.

I picked lightning magic twice, and now see a lightning sigil for sale in the game. Should I buy it?

OK I think the answer is no, since the description says 'you already know this sigil'. On the other hand I'll buy the 'accents'.

IIRC, the first level purchase in the character creation screen basically is a sigil purchase. If you invest twice in the same skill that second investment is like a level up point in it.
So you can buy sigils, but not that skill level up point. Investing in two different magics just gives you the two sigils.

Again that's IIRC.
