Neapolitan-Ragusan Trade Accord of 1385

Objective:
In the spirit of establishing trade relations between the Kingdom of Naples and the Republic of Ragusa, this treaty was created with the effort and negotiations of Most Honourable Mencetici, the Senator of Ragusa and His Excellency Abelardo d'Altavilla, the Ambassador of Naples to the Republic of Ragusa.

Article I:
The Republic of Ragusa recognize His Royal Majesty John I as the legitimate ruler and King of Naples, and the Kingdom of Naples recognize the Republic of Ragusa as a legitimate realm and the Ragusan Great Council, Senators and the elected Duke, the rulers of the City.

Article II:
Both realms guarantee that trade between the two realms will be open for each other.

Article III
Both realms agree to guarantee rights of passage to each other’s merchants to smooth the progress of the trade.

Article III:
Both realms ensure one another that there will be no embargoes between both realms. Also, both realms shall not banish merchants from each other realm, unless they are proven to be criminals by the laws of the realm that they are staying in.

Article IV:
The Republic of Ragusa has the right to construct and maintain merchant houses, warehouses as well as accommodations for its own merchants in the cities of the Kingdom of Naples. Same shall exist for the Kingdom of Naples in the Republic of Ragusa.

Article V:
Both Realms promises to protect each others’ shipping and all other means of trade. As well as swearing to neither support nor fund acts of piracy or raiding against each other.

Article VI:
The King of Naples shall grant the sole right to export spice and silks into the Kingdom of Naples to the Republic of Ragusa. In return, the Ragusan merchants will sell spices and silks 8% cheaper than normal price.

Article VII:
In the view of great trading relationship between the Kingdom of Naples and the Republic of Ragusa, the merchants of both realms will only have to pay 10% tolls. No other taxes or tolls can be levied on these merchants.

Article XIII:
Any changes to this Accord will have to be done in accordance with both realms. This Accord also guarantees the possibility of further negotiations between the both realms and the improvement of the commercial links, if the realms find it adequate.

Article XIV:
This Accord lasts for 25 years to be reconfirmed every 25 years. The Accord cannot be changed unless it is agreed by both parties during the time between signing and the process to be reconfirming start.

Wittelsbach Family Pact


The Dukes of Bavaria, the Duke of Jülich, the Duke of Berg, the Duke of Geldre and the Count-Elector of Pfalz agree:
1. To Create an Alliance between all Wittelsbach, by male or female line, States.
1.1. If a member of this Pact attack other State the others can be called to help them in the way they find better, by economical help or military help.
1.2. If a member of this Pact is Attacked all the others shall go in their Help by military ways.
1.3. Every member of this Pact allows the Armies of the Others to move through their Territory.
2. The Wittelsbach States create Trade Agreements among themselves.
2.1. This Agreements will have preferencial commercial pacts between the members of the pact, and will be asked if they want the mercancy before any other State.
2.2. All Traders Subject to a Wittelsbach Ruler will have right of movemnt through Wittelsbach Land.
2.3. The Wittelbach Rulers will help economically the rest if needed.
3. The Signants of this Pact create a Political Alliance to protect the Wittelsbacher Interests.
3.1. By helping each other in the Diet.
3.2. By Meeting each 5 years for revision of the treaty.
3.3. By trying to receive Oversticht to make Point 2 Easier.Secret Clause
Final Clause 1: This Pact lasts 5 years, But can be renewed at that time.
Final Clause 2: To allow new members, like Dalmatia, all members of the Pact shall confirm it.

Objective:
In the spirit of establishing trade relations between the Kingdom of Hungary and the Republic of Ragusa, this treaty was created with the effort and negotiations of Rubrik Sorkocevici, the Ambassador of Ragusa to the Kingdom of Hungary and Garai Miklós, the Palatine of Hungary.

Article I:
The Republic of Ragusa recognize Her Royal Majesty Mary Angevin as the legitimate ruler and Queen of Hungary, and the Kingdom of Hungary recognize the Republic of Ragusa as a legitimate realm and the Ragusan Great Council, Senators and the elected Duke, the rulers of the City

Article II:
Both realms guarantee that trade between the two realms will be open for each other.

Article III
Both realms agree to guarantee rights of passage to each other’s merchants to smooth the progress of the trade

Article III:
Both realms shall respect the independence of the other's economy and their right to create the trade agreements with any nation without interference from the other realm.

Article IV:
Both realms ensure one another that there will be no embargoes between both realms. Also, both realms shall not banish merchants from each other realm, unless they are proven to be criminals by the laws of the realm that they are staying in.

Article V:

In return for the generosity offered by the Republic of Ragusa, the Kingdom of Hungary will offer all their products to the Republic of Ragusa at a price 8% lower than the usual price.

Article X:
The Queen of Hungary shall grant the sole right to export spice, oriental carpets and silks into the Kingdom of Hungary to the Republic of Ragusa of all nations bordering the Adriatic Sea.

Article XI:
In return, the Kingdom of Hungary will have guaranteed supply of oriental goods above everyone else in case of market shortages

Article XII:
The Ragusan merchants who carry goods of silks, oriental carpets, and spices within their goods only have to pay 5% tolls in the view of the importance of these luxury goods to the nobles of Hungary. However, the Ragusan merchants who does not carry goods of silks, oriental carpets, and spices within their goods only have to pay 10%.

Article XIII:
In the view of great trading relationship with the Kingdom of Hungary, the merchants of Hungary will only have to pay 10% tolls.

Article XIV:
This Accord lasts for 10 years to be reconfirmed every 10 years. The Accord cannot be changed unless it is agreed by both parties during the time between signing and the process to be reconfirming start.

Article I:
With this treaty the Kingdom of Hungary guarantees the continued independence of the Republic of Ragusa.

Article II:
As such the Kingdom pledges to assist the Republic should it be attacked by a foreign enemy with enough military aid to repel the invader.

Article III:
In order to streamline the defense of Ragusa, the forces of Hungary and her vassals shall be granted right of passage in Ragusa.

Article IV:
The republic of Ragusa agrees to provide the hungarian crown with two armed warships during times of war

Treaty of Naples in the year of our lord 1385


I. By this treaty Richard II is recognized as the one and only rightful King of England and France, and Lord of Ireland, and all lesser titles, by His Majety John, King of Naples, Jerusalem, and Albania, Prince of Achaia, Durazzo and Taranto, et cetera.

II. By this treaty John, King of Naples, Jerusalem, and Albania, Prince of Achaia, Durazzo and Taranto, et cetera is recognized as the one and only rightful King of Naples, Jerusalem and all lesser titles, by His Majesty Richard the second, by the Grace of God King of England and France, Lord of Ireland and Aquitaine, Sovereign of the Order of the Garter

IV. English merchants operation in the harbour of the Kingdom of Naples shall enjoy a 15% discount on usual tariffs and harbour fees. To improve trade the Kingdom of Naples will promise not to confiscate goods owned by English merchants

V Neapolitan merchants operation in the harbour of the Kingdom of England shall enjoy a 15% discount on usual tariffs and harbour fees. To improve trade the Kingdom of England will promise not to confiscate goods owned by Neapolitan merchants

On warfare

VI. The Kingdoms of Naples and that of England pledges to support each other in matters of war. Be it military or monetary, the two sides promise to support the other part.

VII. In the event of a defensive war the Kingdoms pledges to support in the defence of the attacked part through military action.

On marriage

VIII. To mark the support in this treaty and close the two Kingdoms closer together there shall be a marriage between the daughter of King John and the nephew of Richard II. Namely Blanche of Naples is to marry Edward d'Anjou after the year of our lord 1386 when they are both at a suitable age for the act of marriage.
