That looks amazing waway!

My city of Meridian.
I quit, the performance is horrible.

The nerve cord of Meridian is the elevated BRT system that paves their way through land and sea. Mostly low residential, the city spreads over several islands and the Cims have long ways to cover. The efficient transport system is it, what keeps this city alive.

But with all these ups, there are downs. Not everyone in Meridian is a rich snob, the factory workers and the jobless also need homes.
Welcome in the concrete hell.

Last, but not least the biggest industrial area in Meridian.
In the middle lies the old abadoned factory from the old Schilkin distillery, the building is listed under monument protection.

Sotrax, what kind of pillars do you use for the BRT that goes straight above a road? I've tried the Superstack stuff, but the pillars are way too wide so I never understood exactly which ones were the right ones for the job :(

I used the normal pillars, didn't change a thing here. When the angle was to straigt to cross the road I just activated road anarchy, one pillar more or less wouldn't track attention.
I never build straigt and parallel over a road because ... well, I had enough space, never needed to. :p

After much procastinating, I thought I'd sign up and post some screenshots of my cities :p. I'm a big fan of Dutch urban design, so my neighbourhoods are usually designed to prioritise cycling and public transport. I have found it a great way to keep traffic congestion down and I'm sure that my cims love it too :)

I also downloaded a save game of GTA 5 from the Steam Workshop and I'm working on making Los Santos and Blaine County less car-centric. I love the look of that busway by Sotrax by the way :).

Enjoy ;-)

The only issue with designing cities like this is that services don't travel along cyclepaths, so I need more fire stations, hospitals, health centres etc.

Houten(tje) is a good example of a city priortizing cycling. In real life it is a maze when going by car.

Love the layouts
