A top view of Oakford, population of about 45k. Started out as a sleepy loging town on the banks of the river but has diversified a little now.

The view across the old town centre towards the more modern city

The old lumberjack housing has undergone a little gentrification

The new high rise apartments built to meet the growing population

And finally a view of the city through the rain and smoke. Most tourists don't get to see this view

The city of Otletios

The old part of town, with the Otletios River running through in two canals. Research suggest that The Old Town was first build in the 15th century. Some speculate if it was the king himself who founded the town, but the lack of any castles or other specialities makes this seem unlikely. There currently are plans to expand with some suburbs in the bottom of the picture.

Urnal Dosilio Ophatios' Avenue goes right through the heart of The Old Town. At the time of construction it was planned to be a simple avenue, but as the traffic got worse in the early 21st century, the avenue had some major rework. The road doesn't look as good now, but it most certainly handles the traffic a lot better.

The Island of Innovation is a relatively new build. Before 2018 there were only the buildings behind, and where the MAM, the Expo Centre and the Theatre of Wonder are, there used to be a big patch of grass. The archaeologists have not been able to find out why it was there. That all changed when the city council took the decision to build the new Island of Innovation. Millions of cimolions were invested in the project.

The main station in The Old Town, built in 1963. It has since served as the main station for the whole city. In the front is the Railyard. The railyard has nothing to do with the main station, but was built alongside the old train station. The old train station, whish lays to the right, where the tracks run out of the picture, was built in 1905.

The Ærli River is a offspring of the Otletios River, it goes through Ræthangia and towards the ocean. Ræthangia is built in a typical 2000s style, boring from one end to the other. The only good shot you can get is where the Ærli River goes right through, with the central city to the left, and the suburbs to the right.

Erlisodna is a new part of town. It's still not quite finished with the suburbs, but the city council has already laid a road foundation out, and is waiting for people to buy into the idea that they should settle there. Erlisodna was designed to optimise with traffic. It has a central train station, as well as a railyard.

It's my last work. Region with three small cities. First one inspired on Monaco, second on Krakow in Poland and third is a mix - some taken from Dutch cities, some from Italian Venice.

That level of chaos in system is one of the most beautiful things I've seen come out of this game. Seriously good job, it looks like something straight out of an RPG level.

Damn, where did you get all those medieval buildings?
Steam workshop of course. ;)

Chaos is intentional. I want to make it as realistic as posible for European cities, and quite interesting in details. Don't like modern planned districts. But communication is fit well. No traffic problems at all. :)

@Orda-Osto now that is the most impressive and interesting city I have seen, great work!!!
Thanks Barry. :)

@@Orda-Osto looks fantastic and also really detailled. But sometimes the trees are too much, looks like a city in the forest then ;)

I for one love the trees and think cities look hideous without them generally.
Seriously amazing work and some great looking cities.

Large amout of trees is probably side effect of my last lecture - Garden Cities of To-morrow by E.Howard. You know, one central city with many satelites arround and forests, farms, parks between them. Unfortunetely capital of the region is not yet finished. I started from periphery.
