I thought you guys said that planets will be shaded properly in multi-star systems, yet they're only lit from the main star.
Was this missed somehow? o_O

I thought they said they were working on it, but never made it a promise that it would work out.

never heard of that requirement before...
I fixed so the different stars could use different worldgfx instead (different textures and shader constants for the object) of the main star and that is also what i know the difference is between 2.1 and 2.0 in the gfx regards (i did not rewrite any shader in this context).
But now when you show me such a nice screenshot of it, i might be more or less forced to fix it (you cannot unsee certain things when you seen them)... no promise thou O;))

huh not sure tbh, looks so radical that it should not have any light on it... but neverless if i remember correctly the main light source will be the first star (scripted) in the system and planets will then use some constants from that worldgfx, and i do not think that another star in the system will be used as pointlight (not 100% sure) there

Can you attache a save as well? after consulting with some friends we concluded that it must be a shader bug O;)

Wiz said they were still looking to improve this when asked about it in the Dev Diary #111 thread, looks like it got cut in order to make their PDXcon deadline:

Looks good! Are you still working on the shading in the trinary systems? I can't help but notice that the planets are only lit by the central sun, and so are sometimes in shade on the side facing their own sun...
It's something we're aiming to improve.

ah, in that case it is probably in the todo list O;)
