To any dev: What is your favorite new feature of Sons of Abraham?

I think that would be the feature expansion upon the Holy Orders I think, for me.

Omg, got a question: Will we be able to play as pagan theocracies, f.ex. the reformed "Slavic Church"? Right now if you own all the holy sites and reform the game is over.

No you won't be able to play Theocracies.

That sounds like a bug, it should create a High Priest as your vassal.

That's if I had any priest as a vassal. But when I play in North Korea mode and don't have any vassals this makes me the new High Priest and my empire turns into theocracy and the game is over.

I just want to play as Slavic Church. They have such awesome flag.

Ah, hehe, no... 'fraid not.

How exactly will heretic religions work with the converter with the new patch/expansion?

If you manage to overthrow the parent religion it will be converted over as a proper religion in EU4. At the moment it is just for RP-reasons but hope to improve it down the line.

Can vassal Kings get cardinals? What about independent Counts and Dukes?

Everybody who has bishop vassals can get cardinals elected.

Will the AI present bishop candidates themselves? Will we see bishops related to barons, counts (and so on) within the realm outside of their de jure county (but still within the realm) or will it only be the bishopric within the demesne of the candidate presenter?

The AI has gotten some new logic into it where it actually tries to get people to become cardinals, even favoring family members it don't want to bother with.

what will be the extra DLC content to come with SOA ? Portraits ? Music ?

Two unit packs for the holy orders, and a music pack.

CK2: Military Orders Unit Pack (Christian Holy Orders)
CK2: Warriors of Faith Unit Pack (Non-Christian Holy Orders)
CK2: Hymns of Abraham (Music DLC)

It is particularly difficult to get cardinals/popes into office who aren't of an italian culture? (it might be fun to have a college of cardinals full of hairy danish dudes, for example)

Yes quite but not impossible. In my observe games I've seen Mongols become Christian and dominate the college of cardinals and the papacy. Was kind of funny.
