I regret nothing! I wish they'd JL'd me though, a JL lover would have been a perfect mouthpiece, and then I wouldn't have accidentally blocked the seer scans.

Why didn't you contact me then ? We wouldn't have used you as a mouthpiece initially (we would have checked first if you were a goodie), but we could have told you to block/or not to block certain players.

I don't think it ever crossed my mind to contact the JL. If I were the seer I'd run in the other direction if a player contacted me out of the blue saying "scan me" - what if they're an SA cultist? As it turns out I was SA, but I was a goodie. I did hint that I was a good scan but as I said to Snoopdogg, I thought that I wasn't scanned because the seer suspected a trap.

Having read the GM AAR, I AM SO BACK IN WW! And now that I'm on a Gap Year (Yah?), I should be more active. Set course for the LSST!

So who's hosting next then? If reis91 is the only GM volunteer then should we just ask him to get a new game up or what? Can't say I'm crazy about his idea with cultists winning on their own but hey, I'll try anything once.

I have a theme idea and general setup in the back of my mind, which I could get going in time and run, if you really want options to choose from. I'm not jumping out of my skin to run it right now though, and it seems like no one else is either.

Very well then:

Werewolf CXIII Proposal: Politics. Parliament is deeply divided, and revolutionary groups are looking to seize power in the chaos. Each of the two (or three, or...) main parties has revolutionairies hidden in plain sight, and perhaps more who are sympathetic or ready to defect. The elder statesmen and party whips are going to have a tough time trying to sort through the mess and cast out the extremists. Bombs will be thrown, whether in defence of democracy or to bring it down. Reputations will be ruined. Deals will be struck. And out of the chaos, someone will emerge triumphant.

Parties to be based on a Vicky style Liberal/Socialist/Conservative divide, with Anarcho-Liberals/Communists/Reactionairies hidden amongst them. Whether two or three revolutionary groups or something else with sub factions or lacking a perfect correlation to the main parties will be known only to me at first. Plenty of RP material, without forcing it on people. I'll throw in a couple of interesting things, but all in all a fairly standard setup - nothing more extreme than a night 0 vote, which I intend to steal :)

In deciding if I play a game or not (apart from time constraints or temporarily lack of interest) the rules used are for me the deciding factor.
Having a day 0 vote is OK for me, but I like to know more about the other interesting things you like to do.
They can seem small changes, but can often have big effects. And that can be effects I don't like.
Therefore please tell a little bit more about those interesting things :)

Fair enough. Essentially, all players, including wolves, will be assigned to one of the Conservative/Liberal/Socialist Parties. Wolves will also belong to an extremist group. At the end of the game, purely cosmetically we will see which party is largest and they get the extra bragging rights of forming the new Government. Extremist groups, roles and traits will be assigned independently of their public parties, to prevent attempts to work out if it's a Conservative Party member who must be the last person left in the Reactionaries. You can rest assured this will all be handled as pure flavour. I had kind of hoped to induce paranoia with this actually, but it's no big deal :)

Other than that, I am considering starting cultists as undeclared. While undeclared they can win and count for parity, but if all wolves die they lose. However, if they declare with a pack, if all wolves in that pack are destroyed the pack continues sans hunts, meaning the cultists may be able to win it through lynches. Basically I feel sorry for the abundance of stranded cultists we've seen, but recognise the opposition to letting cultists hunt like wolves once declared. This is up for debate, though.

So, the choice is...

19th century politics vs 19th century politics
Cultists making a faction and be able to grow larger via turns vs cultists making a faction but not being able to subvert/kill anyone else except through lynch.
Flavor political parties vs flavor revolutions.

Tell you what, we should just co-GM a game, for the lulz.

I thought there was something familiar about Kiwi's proposal...

Can I sum up the paranoia?

How in the world was I supposed to suspect that an active JL mouthpiece, known to the wolves as a sorc, and at the same time in a game that so obviously doesn't have a sorc, doesn't get hunted?

How in the world was I supposed to believe that EUROO7 had simply told OrangeYoshi that he was a wolf the second he got turned?

I was willing to lynch EUROO7 and give OrangeYoshi the benefit of the doubt, but I wanted AVN and trespoe to be able to steer the village in the right direction into killing OrangeYoshi if I died and EUROO7 was, in fact, a goodie.

I must admit that I also started to get paranoid towards the end

I've decided on my return that I will only play one game at a time, so that I don't get confused again...
Still, I'm sure I'll play some of this new fangled "Meso" at some point :p

It will be over before Big has even started. Besides, with 3 kills/round odds are that you will be dead within a few days.

Conclusion:

NEVER EVER EVER GIVE UP.

No matter how much the other side is calling for it, or you think it is unwinnable...
