The unit statistics are changed by KingMississippi. They are not the same as in vanilla.

Still, as you can see, improvements still can be made. :)
I think I posted somewhere in some thread that playtesting needed to be decided as to the proper level of stats for all of the various units. As it is I know that they are not right but am focused on getting the basic framework out so that we can than tweak it to our specifications. So I have been working on the tech trees and was going to turn to the unit attributes once the alpha was good enough for testing.

Ok then, look at this as on the reminder. :)

DO we still need more unit graphics made? Like 1890 British Infantry, etc. I've seen naval and air units shown earlier in the thread, but only for one or two nations in each case. I can get started on other ones.

There are still a great number of unit graphics of that nature that still require creation - the original artists who offered samples appear to have vanished, and it is not apparent that they will resume their work.

The most important stipulation that I have in regard to this matter is that we must have uniformity in design, and that once we are agreed on a format, that we stick to it rigidly without creative deviations. :)

Some examples:

1898 British Infantry:

1912 British Infantry:

1915 British Infantry:

Ok, im gonna start doing these, and will begin with nations in North America.

USA
Canada (revolter)
Mexico (government and rebels)

Will start posting in a few hours.

As far as the aircraft pictures that I provided go, I chose Britain, France and Germany because they were the most important manufacturers of military hardware - almost all other countries either imported their stuff, or copied it themselves.

As a temporary stopgap, we can probably just use the French hardware pictures for all minor nations, then substitute more up-to-date pictures as we go along.

I do not know if it's still the case, but I think that saying France is 1895 infantry whereas Germany and Britain are 1912 is very exagerated. France lacked a proper uniform and heavy artillery, just like every one did! By 1915, France had a modern uniform with helmet etc... If France was so late in technology, how did she won the marne and the war?

a) Because the German divisions were very low in organisation by September 1914, and a French counter-attack with fresh units forced them to retreat back to the province they'd just left.

b) By using their excellent tech teams to research new technologies at a steady pace...

They were not so superior... Just look at the battle of Guise for instance. French army was capable of beating germany during a strategical withdraw. And no debacle.
I don't know exactly how HoI2 works with infantry level, but if there is a too wide difference between two levels, I think it seems to severe for France.
But if France have good tech team (I've not the game yet, so I guess it is a very good point) and can by 1915 be at the same level than Germany or Britain (as she was), it is ok for me.

Really good job there! :)

When I include all the unit photos in the next internal update, you'll be properly appraised of what we currently possess in this regard, and what we do not.

Looking at the aircraft pictures I posted a while back, I think there's been some confusion... Is this correct:

Aircraft model "interceptor" is now "scout fighter"
Aircraft model "fighter" is now "2-seater"
Aircraft model "escort fighter" remains as "escort fighter"

If so, then this file should be copied into the GFX/Interface/models directory, after first deleting all files with these formats:
ill_div_[TAG]_13_[number].bmp
ill_div_[TAG]_14_[number].bmp

This text is also to be copied into the config/models.csv file:
