GENERAL NOTES:
If there is no RP in the setting up and continued use of the agreement there will be penalties to the roll. With excellent or good play, the opposite will be the case.
If an alliance, trade agreement or anything else springs from nowhere, there will quite probably be a bad event (or simply bad modifier) if I notice.
Any complaints or comments and suggestions on these events send to my (Longinus') PM inbox, please.
If you decide to play the trade aspect of the game, RP it. Otherwise, there will be negative modifiers upon the rolls (Trade is collapsing, merchants are being pushed back etc.) or simply there will be no roll for them.
Massive production of trade agreements is okay but will often lead nowhere.
Be sure that any RP, agreements, deals etc. do not collide with other. Make sure that your merchants will be able to get any profit at all from the bussiness, check if they have any access to the area etc.
For God's sake use your common sense, historial background etc.
Thou shall be rewarded.
Thank you for attention

Ps. Here is a rough reasoning why Russia got (+1 to the roll) Remember, modfires can be negative if your Relam will deserve it
In answer to Das Herr PM, with his permission I am publishing it.

Alright, I figured if you let Sibir in to the event I got a chance
Now Im not trying to get into your trade events out of the blue; I have signed a lucrative agreement with Genoa gauranteeing a market for Russian exports, and Im starting to RP the trade now. Notice my last post in my court and rumors thread.
The trade treaty, while limiting me to only trade with Genoa, is a big step up for Russia. Now I have a very poweful trade state, Genoa, that has promised to buy Russian exports. This provides my few merchants a stable market within Moscow, Genoa built a customs house their, to sell their goods. Something that hasnt happened before in Russia. Also, Russia is now able to import a mass quantaties of goods from Europe provided through Genoa.
I am also at peace with the Horde and all my neighbors so my merchants can opperate smoothly again.
thoughts on this?
DH
hey mate,
as to the trade events there is a rough guidiance.
GENERAL NOTES: (…)
frankly I am not so sure if this agreement with Genua is beneficial to any of you at all. Distance between both of you is quite great and Russian raw materials could be easily bought in any other place for much smaller price (costs of transportation)
furthermore, giving a monopoly to Genuan traders isn't good for native Russian traders for sure. In other words, you got the monies for war but in a longer perspective you have lost some of your revenues in favor of Genua. The agreement with Genua guarantees one thing mate, Russian matters nothing, Genovase matter everything. Read this agreement once again and perhaps you will agree with my line of reasoning.
Historically, lands of Rus were trading through the Baltic Sea and Lithuania, why? Because it was much cheaper and convenient.
In the end I must say that two most important cities of Rus are Novograd and Moscow, while Novograd is still even more important then Moscow. You can compete via RP with Novograd, take the city or make agreement with the city but surely you have to deal with that one way or another.
these are my rough thoughts and if you let me I would like to publish them in the Longue as I would like to show ppl how exactly trade events works.
regards
Longinus
