March of the Mongols into the Iberian Peninsula is unstoppable. All isolated German division rushing northward were cut down by CAS air-strikes where two fleets are operating! So the inevitable occurs. Madrid, the center of power in Iberia is attacked by the 2nd Mongol cavalry!
Lt Gen Kryuchenkin (Keshik 2nd Kublai Korps): Madrid, former capital of the Spanish people are ripe for taking. Only one lone police garrison defending it. Brave horse-warriors, claim the city!!
With that, 30,000 mounted warrior attack the city defenses and by Nov 7th, Madrid is stormed and secured!

But there are just too many wandering around including the Allies and Italy got one huge surface armada that regularly patrols the Sicily isle area that will take time to destroy. We’re certainly crippling their fleet with constant attacks.

A nice attempt by the US AI. Also the AI somehow remembered to reinforce the landings. Now that's surprising. Not that it would help to avoid the complete destruction of all US-units involved, but surprising nevertheless.

Why don't you try an airborne assault on Sicily? It would be far easier than sinking the whole Regia Marina.

The first time Mongol stepped on Sicily was on Dec 4th but was repelled by the Italians in a battle odds of 6 to 1 division. But this time, the CAS has severely weaken Italian army that they could not even mount a counter attack when Choybalsan returns again on the 22nd! With that, Mongols stream across to Sicily by sea transports unloading at the Port of Palermo and ready for the final assault four days later.
FM Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Finally! We’re here to stay!!! Let’s finish off the last of Mussolini’s fascist army!
Catania became the last stand for Mussolini! His weaken army stood no chance against the hordes who has been itching to get him for two months!
In this final battle, the Roman pride is crush underfoot as the army of Khan trample what is left of it and the dreams of their empire is permanently extinguished!
Seeing the hopelessness of the situation, Mussolini’s army surrenders in droves. Even the godfathers & godmothers of Sicily now pay homage to Khan! Mussolini himself escaped aboard what is left of his Mediterranean fleet.
FM Choybalsan (Chief of Army): Should we annex Italy now and thereby eliminate Mussolini and all his ships wherever they are! That is the wonder of annexation, no one can hide from this!

Kufra town is sited surrounding an oasis where an old Italian fort is located. Ocean of sands surround it for hundreds of miles around. Bet there are no pizza and macaroni there!

He needs to pass thru UK territory in northern Africa to reach his ‘NEW’ Italy and it is likely he could slip thru as much these deserts are not guarded thanks to us!
