@Barvinok: Japan is too pro-american this days, so a turnover seems impossible, I don't wan't to recreate WW2.
@Ivir Baggins: Greece will be part of my Grand Plan
By December 2003, the research and development teams of Rheinmetall develop a new main battle tank, the Leopard 3, a advanced mbt that will be the center piece of the new Wehrmacht.
And also at the end of 2003, the first newly built panzergrenadier division since the regime change has entered active service. The 1.Panzergrenadier-Division, commanded by Generalleutnant Widder.
In January 2005, the unexpected Ukrainian Civil War erupts with Novorossya declaring the independence. The war breaks out between the two factions.
The German intelligence services found out that the Russian government sends covert aid to the rebels, arming and sustaining them. Hearing this, President Udo Voight and the Chief of Staff Gunzel set up a overt aid plan for the true Ukrainian government in order to stop the Russians expand their influence inside Europe. It's imperative for Ukraine to win the civil war.
The Ukrainian government thanks Udo Voight for it's support and says that this debt will be payed back.
Soon after the Ukrainian Civil War began, another armed conflict breaks out in Eastern Europe, Romania unites with Republic of Moldova and declares war on separatist state of Transnistria. Russia condemns this actions and breaks the trade agreements with Romania.
Germany takes a neutral position in this conflict and calls for a cease fire, it doesn't serve it's interest.
It doesn't last long until the Romanian Army takes control of Transnistria and annexes it to their territory.
In October 2005, Germany enters the second phase of the Grand Plan. France and Russia warn Germany about a violation of the 2+4 Agreement because of the rapid expansion of the German Armed Forces.
The German government chooses to ignore the warning and see what happens.
In November, Germany gets a second warning. The Russian and Polish governments are outraged of this indifference shown by the German leaders.
After the second warning was ignored, Russia and France threatened with military action against Germany, while France, UK and USA choose to stay back. But, Germany was banned from NATO and EU, and the trade with EU countries stopped.
This didn't affect Germany to much, as it already made very good trade agreements with countries like China, India and Brazil.
The Russian and French threats are worthless, a military action against Germany is impossible to apply at this moment.
From now on, Germany starts to become a big player on the worlds chess board again.
