It's a pity that this won't continue but I'd be keen to see a follow-up. I'm curious about project augustus.
Your writing style is fantastic, you write and I will read.Regardless of what it may be.
You could start from scratch in the 867 start date, as the Basil I! Another empire you could try is Asturias, and form Hispania!
Personally, I would love to see what you could do as the Byzantines with Project: Agustus, as I don't think I have seen that mod made into an AAR before.

The problem with Project Augustus is that it is not currently compatible with the latest patch, and the next version won't be released until later this year/early next year, so there would have to be a wait. The next best thing IMO is the HIP mod, I absolutely love the SWMH map.
Byz with Augustus! I never tried that mod and your AAR might be an inspiration for me
Project Augustus it is then! I'll wait until the updated version is released and do a Macedonian start. In the meantime, I'll probably be doing an HIP AAR, so keep an eye out for that. Thanks for all your support!

Ooh! If you do an HIP AAR, perhaps try a region or culture group that isn't often picked? Maybe a small, somewhat embattled minor?
I have an idea! I don't know whether these characters are available in HIP, but Dawit I Gideon of Semien (867) and Dawit II Gideon of Axum (1066) are my suggestions. Want to create a Jewish state in East Africa, and possibly even retake the Promised Land?
