We did not lose any reputation. And a very fortunate consequence of the war was that Parma was also reputation free. Had we been at peace, if we honored the call to war against Parma, Charles Emmanuel would have walked and taken command of the siege, and if we had dishonored to protect Parma's "independence", it could have taken a lot of effort to gain them into our alliance.
