OY! Stop stealing my AAR cookie awards..... Or at least accept that mine is the origanal, tastiest cookie. Oh and I have decided, after careful consideration, to award you a Bar to your Cookie-It's basically an award for all those who finish an AAR which I have enjoyed ....

Hey, I've been awarding these things longer than you have! :p But yeah, I'll concede that you were the first to award him one; I just wanted to delay mine until he actually finished it.

Well, I've just run out of cookies myself, but I must say your work will influence many, and I'm one of them.

Congratulations, Prawnstar.

one last post from me for this thread:

PrawnStar: when you start your next AAR, will you let us know by posting in THIS thread?

Thank you very much.

I read your What are they thread? and I came up with the idea from the same place, the Phoenix cookies.....

FEEDBACK

naggy - I was wondering how you planned to culture flip Ethiopia to one of the French cultures. Presumably you have to dump a lot of provinces along the way?

rapidem - Beware the Concrete Cow Cavalry :)

C'est Moi - No, quite definitely no

mayorqw - Isn't WWM supposed to be easier than Vanilla? If you truely want to see Xhosa glory then check out ws2_32's EU2 Xhosa AAR - that is superb gaming.

urdh - As naggy says there are cheesy ways of making Ethiopa very successful.

Valinn - You undersell yourself my friend.

PhilleP - Thank you and I've updated my sig :)

Nicely restrained use of colour ;)

Vann the Red - Thanks Vann

Specialist290 - Cookie noted and sig'd, cheers!

Keeping the Timurids tribal sounds like a real grind. A huge challenge but possibly not much fun. It would be even more rebels than the Duke would want.

Lord Strange - Sig updated, it now looks like a sweet toothed shoplifter

Specialist290 & Lord Strange - Cookie wars

EUROO7 - Glad to hear you've enjoyed this.

praxiteles - Yes, if I start a new AAR then I'll post here to say so.

On that point, the Mongol Khanate to Buddhist Mughal Empire is looking far too easy although the 18th Century might be a challenge holding back the modern world.

The Khanate's 1399 start gives it two huge advantages.

Right, PrawnStar, You now Own a whole closet of Cookies, Awards and such,

Please tell me You're gonna use the Rule: No Westernization in Your next AAR? :p

This AAR was very interesting until the point you left America. Then it became another boring "Look how I conquer the whole world with a minor backward nation".
Get MMP and focus a little more on roleplaying (and write a nice AAR about it). The aim of maximum number of provinces while maximum exploiting the game mechanics gets a little boring.

I agree that world conquests get boring after awhile, but this was an awesome feat.

And if roleplay is your cup of tea, then why did you waste your time reading a GAMEPLAY aar?

Agree.

I only did a WC once, in EU I, the first time I played agressive/very hard and since it was with France... sorta had to happen once the BB wars started. I purely hate dealing with all the revolts.

But I only read gameplay AAR's - fanfic bores me to death.

I like to see how others play the game - that's how you learn.

Maybe i should try MP :) I really miss Empires in Arms!

So, umm what exactly did you want him to do for the rest of the game after he conquored America? Just sit there twiddiling his thumbs, maybe converting a few provinces, perhaps enact a decision here or there. Seems a little dull to me.

Everyone has their preferences, but world conquest isn't the only alternative.

Most enjoyable games are the ones where I'm primus inter pares, but not with too big marginal. My most epic EU3 experience was a game as Burgundy, where I ruled most of Germany and Italy and humiliated France was my vassal. What made that game epic were the other powers, Portugal which had inherited Castille and Aragon ruled about 80% of Americas and large parts of Africa and while I could easily defeat them in Europe their sea power and huge colonial armies made war in the colonies really painful. Meanwhile I had also watch my back in the east because Lithuania had annexed Bohemia, Poland, Novgorod, Muscowy and Golden Horde and had became really formidable foe, which usually attacked me when I was trying to fight war against the Portuguese. I love it when there's still other powers around in 1800 who can destroy your empire if they ally against you.

So what I'm saying that after conquest of America other alternative would have been balanced (and more slower) colonial, economical and military expansion instead of WC.

Well, the people requested a WC, Prawnstar wasn't even sure how he wanted to proceed.

And frankly, as the first ever AAR of a Pagan American tribe getting even close to a WC... I think he simply had to do it. :D

I believe there was an animist province in baltic area, if there is an animist nation there, it may be fun to play them and bring the old true faith over christendom in europe.

WC is something you do for the lulz and bragging rights :p I guess the novelty kinda wears off after a while, and then most people try different appraches. I dont consider WC a "noob" thing to do, but it does get quite repetetive and tedious, as shown in this AAR.

Nevertheless, it was indeed an epic feat. Congratulations PrawnStar

It's Samogitia and is owned by the Teutonic order - Spread the word :)

But what is the official religion of Teutonic Order in game? I believe christendom. Is there a OPM to release in Samogitia? That would rock. Worst case involves only a little modding. In fact, when I think of it, if I buy me a PC that can run EU3, I will make that AAR if nobody else does.

Well done!

I just spent the day reading this AAR and find myself stunned. I didn't expect you to make beyond American shores, let alone nearly conquer the world. You've achieved a near Ultimate Victory (oh but for a few more diplomats). Personally, I don't have the patience for all the micromanagement required.

I simply don't have any idea what the next challenge could be. The "No Westernization" rule sounds like a good idea to start with. Hmm...do I hear horses coming down from the Steppe? Yes, I think that might work. FOR THE HORDE!! er...oops, sorry...WoW flashback...
