1848.
That year will be remembered. That was the year when everything started to go to hell for the Empire of Austria. Liberal revolutions. Nationalism. Dissidence. The so called "Red Movement" wasn't born back then... But the people of Austria were like a puddle of oil... All it needed was a small spark...
That spark was two thousand and thirty nine Moravian anarco-liberals. The army crushed them, yes. But the rebels kept coming and coming. Soon the nationalist of Bohemia-Moravia, Slovakia, Croatia, Hungary, Poland and Italy were running in the streets, toting guns, yelling in anger and carrying banderols.
The Hungarians declared indepence. But they didn't declare war. They were too busy squashing some misguided anarchists that had wandered into their territory.
It could have been avoided. But because the young emperor was, well, completely inept, the power rested in the hands of Metternich's faction. No mercy for rebels, no negotiation, send the cavalry... Foolish mistakes.
Then the neo-absolutists made a coup. It was the birth of the red movement. The farmers living in serfdom couldn't take it. They took up arms, painted red banderolls and marched. Few months later they had marched to Wien. The majority of army was crushing Bohemians who ahd declared indepence. Both the emperor and the goverment was executed...
The People's Republic of Austria was born.
Republic...
Well, everybody can vote... The commies.
Yes, the commies. And their "president" Johan Ulm.
But nothing is sure... Yet...
........................................................................................................
Alrydt ten, the situation is this: The year is 1850->, Austria is now a presidental dictatorship with The Communists as only political party, Hungary is independent and the country is filled with all sorts of political lunatics, mostly reds...
We'll see where this things goes.
