((Apparently, TJDS said that all factories had to be part of a collective, but I found no proof of his statement after looking into it.))

((Right before the update - and this was in the IRC chat - I was getting my notes together pre-update - looking at the pending business list etc. - and I realized I didn't have mrlifeless' factory construction post in my notes. I started asking about it when TJDS told me that his factories would have to be built as part of a collective. Since mrlifeless hadn't ordered their construction as part of a collective, I suspended the construction orders rather than build them.))

EDIT: ((Unrelated note - I discovered an error in the PP schedule. Antigov demagogue PP should be 27/person, not 23/person as stated on the table.))

Then aren't we in a form of planned economy? Since Capitalists can't build factoies (at least ones that they own)

((That's a fair assessment. I have not changed the IG government policy to Planned Economy.))

((I don't think so. The only "sacred and inviolable foundation" mentioned there is something called "public, socialist property". There is apparently nothing that bars you from "committing offenses against" non-"socialist, -public property".
I think the CSI has also drowned all the attempts to establish some sort of protection of private property by overpowering the respective bills in their Congress of the Proletariat-thingy.

Oh, but they can't take away your home(s), so at least your mansion(s) should be safe:

Article 19
The inviolability of the homes of citizens and privacy of correspondence are protected by law.

EDIT: Also, on a completely unrelated note, according to the Constitution it is the duty of "every citizen of Italy" to "respect the rules of socialist intercourse." I think Italy very much needs a small handbook with coloured pictures to guide it through the rules of this "socialist intercourse".))

((How? Factories are ileagle to own, and there is no tax on them))

((They are legal, however they must be part of a collective by Presidential Order, thus you would be evading becoming part of a collective, which ultimately means tax evasion))

But if they are part of a collective then I don't own them, therefore owning factories privately is illegal.

((You do own them, but they are part of a collective to make trade and industrial growth easier))

So WTF is a collective? and do I Get its (the factories) profits? Or just 5% as a reward for good behavior? And how does it make trade and industrial growth easier? Up till now it had the opposite effect.

((The government owns everything; that's all you need to know.))
