After installing the updates I always recommend starting a new game.

Irön Fist does not use sprites but only the NATO counters.

A version no higher than 1.11 will be needed.
Iron Fist already incorporates version 1.11 and therefore no patches need to be installed, the base game of "Arsenal of Democracy" is enough.
Installing Iron Fist takes it to version 1.11.
Iron Fist is not compatible with other versions higher than 1.11.

I recommend following the various posts dedicated to Irön Fist to stay updated on corrective patches.

Like most of you, I too am a history buff.
From the first moment I played Hearts of Iron 2, I wanted to be able to modify the game and create my own MOD.
When I saw the birth of the "Compendium" developed by Luxor and the "CORE", I realized that the enterprise would be possible, it was only a matter of time.
Inspired by the excellent work of Luxor, the "Compendium", my long sleepless nights spent with the editor, graphic image editing programs, creation of hundreds of events, search modifications, unit modifications, translations, modifications on the artificial intelligence files, additions on permission of other MODs and thousands of games of the only beta tester available, my uncle, who is also a big fan of HOI 2, has constantly tested giving me his precious help.
In “IRON FIST” I tried to keep the best possible compromise between historicity and playability.
I chose "Arsenal of Democracy" because of the absence of bugs, the work started from this base, on Luxor's consent I then integrated graphic elements of the never born "Pact of Steel" and events of the "Compendium", later they would be arrive all the news made personally by me.
Ultimately, “IRON FIST” was born from the passion of 2 people, myself and my uncle.
I have no big claims, if "IRON FIST" does not like it I will accept it serenely, I am not skilled as a programmer, surely there are those who are better than me in these things.
I want to believe that at least someone will play it and enjoy it for free.
"IRON FIST" cost me a lot in terms of time, consider that I am a simple metal worker, I work shifts, I had to do everything in my free time and in the middle of the night.
I am finally happy to make it freely available to those who want to play with it.
Do not ask me for variations, the game will remain so, as well as correcting the errors for the moment I will not do anything else.

Main new features in Irön Fist:
  • Playable in all languages of the original game, the Italian player can finally enjoy a complete and total translation.
  • Base of AOD, on which I integrated the graphics of Pact of Steel and many events modified, retouched and improved, but also original, of the Compendium.
  • Integrated the 1.11 patch of AOD, so just have the pure original game, without updated patches, the MOD also provides for the 1.11 update.

  • New models of multi-role fighters, searchable as "heavy fighters" that guarantee a long range, ideal for escorting bombers as they no longer have the escort fighters as an aggregate brigade. Fighting squads will have to carry out, as in reality, the bombers escort, integrating themselves in bombers' storms.
  • Two alternative multi-role turbojet developments.

It was really hard work!

"IRON FIST" has as its base "Arsenal of Democracy", it is necessary to have the original game "Arsenal of Democracy", on it the MOD "IRON FIST" must be installed.

How do you install and launch this mod ...boulevard ? o_O

I cannot run it...

After unpacking the downloaded file, find the "READ_ME.txt" file in the "IRON_FIST_MOD" folder.
I write below the description according to "READ_ME.txt" file:

Copy the "MODS" folder completely into the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder.
Copy the "jsgme_setup.exe" file into the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder.
From the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, run the "jsgme_setup.exe" file, follow the instructions in English, they are intuitive, and install the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" in the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy".
Installed the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" you will have in the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy" the file "JSGME.exe", launch it and the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler" will open with 2 windows visible, on the left the "Available Mods", that is the available mods that can be activated, and on the right the "Activated Mods" that is the mods that are activated.
Among the mods available, in the left window, there will be the mod "IRON FIST" and the mod "IRON FIST No Nazi Mod".
Select the mod "IRON FIST" with the mouse pointer and with the single arrow to the right, click and wait for the "IRON FIST" mod to appear now among the activated mods.
If for reasons of personal sensitivity or respect for the law you do not want Nazi symbols in the graphics of play, you can activate the "IRON FIST No Nazi Mod" in the same way as before.
The time that the JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler takes to activate the mod varies depending on the computer and if you have other mods or patches active through JohnSoft.
If you have other versions, mods or patches activated, it may even take a few hours.
I recommend a clean activation, without other versions, mods or patches activated, I only use 20 seconds.
Also close the "JohnSoft Generic Mod Enabler".
Go back to the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, you will find the "IRON_FIST.bat" file and click, this file will perform an imperceptible action, delete the various campaigns available in
"Hearts of Iron II - Arsenal of Democracy" which are not playable with "IRON FIST", leaving only the campaign of play "IRON FIST MOD (1936)".
Return to the main folder "Arsenal of Democracy", select 'AODGame.exe' file and create a shortcut on your destop.
Select the shortcut created on the desktop, between its selected properties change icon, in the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder you will find the icon to use 'IRON FIST.ico'.
You have finished installing "IRON FIST", now you can play through the shortcut.
By launching the "Arsenal.exe" file located in the main "Arsenal of Democracy" folder, you can choose various options including: change game language, default language the game is in Italian, skip the intro every time you launch the game, by default the introductory video always starts.
For those who still use Windows 7 as their operating system, install the "vc_redist.x64.exe" file for 64-bit operating systems or the "vc_redist.x86.exe" file for 32-bit operating systems.

If you have executed the instructions there should be no problems, I have tried several times before putting the link to download the game online.

LOL....to play this mod i reinstalled AOD....THEN tried to install the mod but it seemed that the jsgme wont work...tried a few times to get it to move the mod over...but after 15/20 minutes gave up...its been awhile since i had to use jsgme...so i figured something wrong with install...so uninstall everything and reinstalled aod and mod etc....same result....just seem stuck in moving....so finally i tried once more...left it running and when i returned hour later...IT HAD MOVED....and now all works....you might warn people that it might take 45 minutes or an hour to enable the mod....anyway thanks again

Thanks for letting me know about it.
I added a better description of how to install the mod in the READ_ME.txt and LEGGIMI.txt files and also modified the November 7 post, a few posts before this, where I put the installation instructions.
I would never have noticed it because it takes me about 20 seconds to activate the mod.

The latest version is available, the "1.03" starting from 10/11/2019.
Fixed various inaccuracies and missing or incorrect texts, improved AI of the USA, UK and Japan in producing naval transport.
In any case, you will find the "Changelog Iron Fist 1.xx.txt" file in the IRON FIST folder in the MODS folder with better explanations of what changes and what is new.
Always follow this discussion, from time to time I modify the introductory message (that is first message of presentation with the links to do the download) and the patches will always be downloadable from the same link created at the beginning.
Every time you download a new version, always read the READ_ME.txt file, maybe I have inserted some new explanation lines.
 
A great mod, and an inspiration for modders, since years after the AoD "endgame" people are still working on this.

It's been like 10 or 11 years since posting anything here on the paradox threads. I finally retired and figured that I now had the time to update everything in AoD, only to find out about this Mod.

I am preparing the 1.09 patch with many improvements and minor bug fixes.
Always read the "READ_ME.txt" file, explain everything well.
I will always put the updates in this thread, so come and check here often, the links to download the mod are always these with the updated files.
Knowing that someone is playing my mod makes me very happy. :D
