Starting my first campaign after the new patch as Basil in the Old Gods Start, after founding the Varangian Guard I noticed a new Merc company just above them in the list - the Scholae Palatinae, 1200 men, with 930 of them being heavy cavalry.

Now... if we could just get the 150 Heavy Cav in the Varangian Guard converted into, say, 300 Pikemen...
They have cavalry? Yikes... Paradox really is obsessed with handing everybody cavalry as if they were candy. Cavalry wasn't something that grew on trees, some cultures didn't use it. Also, the dam peasants should not have any cavalry or heavy infantry.
