As Germany I waited until 1939, and then basically swept Europe. With my Bulgarian, Hungarian and Nationalist Spanish allies I conquered Poland, liberated Yugoslavia,(liberated all the countries separately, they're all nice, obedient Nazi puppets) and conquered Romania and Greece. Liberated Italy and created the Italian Social Republic (it's not a puppet). I then Vichified France, conquered the Low Countries, and have just taken London. October 1940.

Now then:

You need an event where if anyone but Germany takes territory in France, they have to give it to Germany and/or Vichy. Italy now owns most of the south coast, while Spain own a couple of southern provinces.

When I formed Flanders, all the German troops lined up to invade England got kicked back to Berlin. Doesn't happen with anyone else. Delayed the invasion by a month.

Bulgaria and Hungary grabbed a bunch of French-held territory in the Balkans. Now I can't form Greece and Romania as puppet states. There should be someway I can force them to give it to me.

First of all i wanna thank you for a wonderful mod.It has given me and my friends hours of fun. Meanwhile we played we found some problems you may want to look into:

Tech:

It's nothing big but it is annoying. If you start a campaign in 1934 as e.g. USA. Then if you save, load the saved game and play as another nation. When you then are ingame you will see that tech teams aren't researching anything but then you see the techs the computer was researching is high lighted yellow its being researched.Without a techteam.

Also what i think is Client Side. Is sometimes after you finish a project you can't research the next. You click on start project but nothing happens.

Upgrades:

This is something we found out.its very annoying. When you researched light tanks and start moving in for medium tanks your light tanks will be upgraded to medium. When we looked up in the editor we saw this. All light tanks to medium tanks are classed as light tanks and the heavy as medium tanks.Which the medium tanks obsolete the light tanks. Now why the heavy tanks class as medium i don't know.

Units:

Its a minor bug with the Transports. If you launch an amphibious assault on a province and your troops get defeated they start retreating in land? then you can move your boats out of the sea zone and you quickly see the units are in the water retreating into land. SO they are now stuck in the water and won't come out of there... (( i think they like swimming ))

Overall its a great mod! We played a couple of times.I mostly been GER but we also played as NOR,FIN and SWE which gave us lots of fun trying to defend us against the soviets and germans. The industrial techs improves the IC of small nations which will eventually grow bigger. As i were NOR i had a basic of 20 IC later at the start of world war II i had 40 IC. Sweden had well over 60IC and finland 80-90 IC. Also i have to say i love the transport escorts. with its 12000km of range i can invade where ever i want. so now the last stand of the allies has begun. Australia and Netherlands fight in the oceanic for freedom over the axis power.

Are you sure about the that the bugs are already in HoI2DD or just something that got enhanced with the mod? Becouse me and him has been playing alot of diff scenarios and we have never encountered this bug ever..

please correct me if im wrong.
(only here to help and improve and awesome mod )

Another thing is if you as german mass influence League of nations then you
can demand territory ( early both saarsbrûcken and danzig, if your succed in demand danzig then the event "Danzig or War" never happends.

And there is no WW2  , wich can be fun sort of do what ever you want
but wouldnt there be another event in that case? suggestion would be that if german owns danzig and england would demand that "danzig would return to polen" or something simular

We have been playing in multiplayer for a long time and we always have that problems (multiplayer in local net not walkirinet). I think that a Paradox problem.

If you got Danzing without war then there is another events where you demand another territories to France..., any of that events have the same conditions as Danzing event and you always go to war.

OK me and noffi a la poff and me were playing a scenario in mp on a lan
He was germany and i were playing as italy, at think it was 1 or 2 months before the actuall danzig or war event happen he aquired danzig through a demand territory and he also aquired luxemburg? Could it be that he had luxenburg that stopped the other territory event? anyway we were playing until feb. something 1940 then we decided to attack polen, is the event popping up later that jan/feb 1940?

anyway we had loads of fun the semi modern mech inf rules :D the german empire stretched from french province of brest all the way to singapore and all of africa was in italy´s hands.

p.s. hope you fix the light tanks, they are a god sent gift when fighting in africa due to really high speed.

Well we waited early into 1940 until i started it manually...

Also an idea is that Hitler will be assassinated early in the game. let's say a 5% chance. Then you will be forced to become communist and allied wth Soviet.

or become DDR and join allies?

Anyway if you need some ppl to test out the scen. me and noffi sure would like to do that. since we sort of do weird stuff to see if it works etc. ( alternative realitys and "possible" stuff ) so if you need some extra hands on the test part just pm either of us :D were only glad to help.

Wonderful mod indeed. Very good idea to left the historical year annoyance out of game.

Is there an estimated release date for the next version ? I'm about to start a new game and would like to play the new version if release date is in very near future :)

How often does ww2 start in this mod? and should i reinstall my game before i play this. Is it compatible with any other mods and if so which ones?

There are the normal events in the game, which are left unchanged. At least for this version. They might change some for the next release (China leader problems etc.).
You should have a clean install, if possible. Also, they have their own little graphics with it, if you have your own icons/stuff you might run into trouble.

Also, Erno, if i might add, i really like the option as Japan to "balkanize" China, the least used choice for the chinese question after fall of the dragon.
There is the same problem with the "Vichy"-China problem, that there are no leaders. a simple wake leaders command should be enough.
Anyway, great mod!

Another thing though: I really like the industrial techs, only in the later part of the game (and that is as early as 1941) i am able to churn out carriers like crazy as Japan as the building time gets ever more reduced the more i advance in the industrial techs. I mean, 150something days for a carrier? Aint that a little overkill? By 1945 i once had 45 carriers... And i didnt even devote all of my 350 effective IC to it. Which is also overkill, somehow.

Japan actually had even more carriers during the course of the war. It isn't overkill.

The infantry time reduction techs do seem kinda overkill, though. With full free market, full hawk, quantity specialisation tech, inf. specialisation and all the army industrial techs I can build an infantry division in ten days...

Err... Actually, upon reading that what I just wrote, it doesn't seem like overkill anymore. Nevermind.

To me it still sounds like overkill. The reduce times should be halved, imo. That would kinda balance the stuff out.
And Japan build over 45 carriers during wartime? i kinda refuse to believe that, any sources?

I just noticed another bug, playing as Japan. After the fall of the dragon event series and my follow up annexation of the realms, the events fire where i lose certain areas like Chongquing, Ganghzhou etc. All in all i get 15 dissent for no reason.
May i suggest to change that you create an event where the resulting dissent increase gets reduced?
I really like your "XXX country conquered XY sector"-events, but this also results in some nasty bugs ;)

I believe the United States had 48 including light carriers, of course I don't even remember where I got that figure. I think we should just look it up. :D

I think it's still an unrealistic number even if includes CVL's. on the Battle of Midway that decided the future of the Pasific war, Japan had 4 CV's and US had 3 IIRC.
