tl;dr I listed every possible good and I think the most suitable one from EU4 is Takedda's copper mine.

Ibn Battuta is famous for traveling most of the Islam nations in the 14th century. Since it's a travel log, Ibn Battuta wrote the specialties of the town he visit. So I listed them, and equivalent trade goods in EU4. It's 100 years before EU4's starting date, and since he mostly focuses on what he eats, I think it was more suitable as something fun to read than a suggestion forum. Some notes before I begin.
1. I used one translated by Jeong Su-il. He was a former North Korean spy, and many of the words are unfamiliar to South Korean like me. Also, the translated text might differ from the English versions.
2. I omitted annotations since the translator did not separate one left by Ibn Juzayy and himself.
3. For the province name used in the first column, I used one that has a Wikipedia page or access to Google maps. If it's a debated one, I also wrote the original name. IDK means I don't know where it indicates.
4. I categorized most of the edible stuff like fruit into grains. Except for Grape.

Impressive work !!!

Since this post has been moved to the suggestion forum from the normal forum I just want to make sure why I have put it in the normal forum in the first place. It was not meant to break the rules. I think this list should be something fun to read or a reference at best, rather than a 'This province should have this trade goods' list. There are several reasons why I thought so.

To use the trade good appear in Ibn Battuta's travel log, this condition should be met IMO
1. It should be an exciting change for players
Changing cloth or silk to grain isn't exciting unless there is going to be a special modifier like 'Granary of the Mediterranean'
2. History sources of that province must be scarce.
2.1 It's a record 100 years before the EU4's starting date.
2.2 Some of Ibn Battuta's travel records are very dubious. (North China is the perfect example of this. Ibn Battuta recorded something that happen 20 years 'after' his departure.)
3. Ibn Battuta's description of trade goods in that province must be impactful to the region.
Some of them are on the level of 'There are lots of grape trees here.'

The province that matches all these three at most is copper in Takedda IMO. To match things perfectly, West Africa has no copper mines in it. However, EU4's province that covers Takedda is Azbin and that province's trade good is salt. As we all know, salt and its trade route in Africa are very important, and even Songhai's mission tree is affected by it.

If so, simply changing the trade goods into salt won't work and another measure needs to be made to add the Takedda copper mine. Changing the border is not a good solution since the province next to it is Air, which has iron trade goods that West Africa only has 3 of them. Adding another province could be a solution, but the devs already said they won't add another province.

As a result, while I do put out lots of province lists with trade goods, I want none of them to change into one I noted. So I put it in the normal forum rather than a suggestion forum.

PS Upon reading the first line again, I do sound like 'Add Takedda copper mine!' oops.
