I don't know if I like this new ruler and his weird customs, he might even try to impose hygiene on a unsuspecting population...

What rest of the world? There is the horde, and a bunch of sheep, er, victims to be sheared....There is but one empire, and it is the Horde. Other nations survive only on the sufferance of the Khan and his people. :)

Soarom - Indeed I try to deliver.

stnylan - Awfully nice of them to do so really.

The Real Deal - Thanks. I had wanted the transitions to be smoother but it takes up too much space. I've been using this animator that can be found here. Trouble is you have to pay for it after 20 uses so I'm not gonna be able to use it much longer. Its pretty simple to use.

Grundius - I did worry it was a bit much. But haven't the Khans been bad enough overall to warrant a good one once in a while?

Chief Ragusa - I think I'll stay away from Orthodox tech group for now. No BB reductions of course but i will take steps to keep it as low as possible.

SunZyl - China eh? Wanna bet on that ;)

J. Passepartout - Lets hope the omen is just a coincidence then.

SirruShan - The Horde might not be Christian but does the beast know that?

GrimPagan - I hope he doesn't get that carried away.

Specialist290 - I hope you're wrong on that.

Bismarck1 - I shall put a world map in the next update. I haven't really been following events much other than France has a civil war every few years now. Their BB is 130/50.

Amric - An excellent philosophy you would do well as an advisor.

Tomczas - He is an excellent one. I too hope for a long rule.

All - I once again want to say thanks to everyone who is following this AAR. An extra thanks to everyone who comments too. It is what really gives me the motivation to get on with writing more of this.

This AAR now is about to pass 70,000 views and with that be only a few thousand from becoming the most viewed EUII AAR ever. I honestly don't know how that's happened. I never thought it would. But I feel quite happy about it so thanks to everyone.

Murtada II : Part 2
Murtada was fortunately a more sensible Khan than those who had preceded him. Black Horde was not at all the name that a modern progressive state needed. Golden was a far more sensible name that conjured an image of an enlightenment. So it was that Murtada officially restored the traditional name of the Horde. There was much rejoicing and revolting.

To celebrate the change Murtada commissioned a map of the world with the corrected colours. The map was a magnificent piece painted across two walls of the Horde's war room in Astrakhan.

The Murtada map

The war room was also the scene where the Ak Koyunlu war was dealt with. The Sultan was offering a paltry sum of money for peace. Obviously this would not do, the insult had been a nasty one and money could never heal the hurt feelings. Some hard-liners called for complete annexation of the enemy state. Murtada, however thought this an unwise move. The Golden Horde could lay no true claim to the land. Therefore Ak Koyunlu was forced to accept what was becoming a standard peace for the Horde, vassalisation.

Another one submits to the Tartar yoke

With this little issue smoothed out Murtada was able to turn to the discoveries in the far-east. They were not good. Ghazi had discovered rich lands along the frozen coast. But to make things a little tougher for the Horde the Malaccans had unlawfully occupied the land with several cities.

Illegal immigrants become a problem in Siberia

The removal of the Malaccan colonies was added to Murtada's already crowded to do list. But for now he turned to his most pressing item on it.

Half an hour? :D

The Golden Horde retakes its proper name. That's quiter good. All hail Murtada!

Excellent map as usual. I agree totally that the Ottoman Empire is scum. The Malaccans in Siberia is quite wacky.

What yellow-colored country is in the middle of China?

I have to admit, the yellow's a lot easier on my eyes...

Brilliant map, by the way. Some of the captions are hilarious.

Malacca doesn't usually have the maps to even think about reaching Siberia. Something's probably gone slightly wrong...

Bah, Mongols don't need to worry about Malacca - perhaps the spice growers just want to make you aware of them so they can *cough* give you spices.

One thing an eye (or better yet a scimitar) should be kept on is the malodious region the uzbeks have moved to. Who knows what vileness they could be spreading?

I think, the aid cartographers everywhere, and in the principle of pretty maps, the Horde should resolve the chaos in the lands that formerly belonged to Timurids - the area so accurately labelled mess on the above.

I wonder if "scum" is any way to refer to your allies in the Holy Golden Alliance?

Ghazi has discovered plenty of land for colonisation. I did think, seeing the colour of those immigrants, that they might be Uzbeks. Such a relief to learn that they are Malaccans.

Since the area marked as "riches" lies beyond the "mess", your future plans lie in that direction?

A most welcome change of colour. Will the provinces with Russian culture spread to reflect the infusion of modern ideas?

Nice maps, one thing I'll always like about EU2 is the nice maps. The Black Horde were sortof cool, but the Golden is certainly prettier picture.

Mallaca in Enkan? Whats that all about??

Apparently the Malaccans needed somewhere to get away from the heat... and what better place to do that than Siberia, where there is no heat? ;)

Impressive map as always. Hopefully Murtada can smooth out a few of the more unsightly areas.
