Gentlemen, as I have previously stated, making bellicose statements that invite war with either our allies or other powers are not germane to the discourse of the Reichstag. Such discussions will only serve to incite war, something that should be avoided, if possible. However, our nation must remain strong in the face of external aggression, which necessitates spending on an armed forces. Additionally, for the benefit of the parliamentarian from the SPD, our budget is quite comparable to that our peers ((OOC: most nations at this time spent little on anything beyond the military or other basic services)). May we continue our discussions over the budget, which we should pass first followed by an opening of the floor to general debate.
