Does the Mass Sacrifice Intrigue option for Bloodthirsty Gods religions lower the prosperity of the provinces or can I safely immunise my demesne?

Prosperity Levels CK2.jpg

Since the Prosperity disease resistance and the Mass Sacrifice disease resistance cancel each other out, it would be the perfect way to make your demesne immun to any diseases that may spread. (Together with Hospital and Garden of course.)

But Mass Sacrifice would be quite useless for this, if it would lower the prosperity in the affected provinces.

Prosperity is decreased by up to 40 points (depending on the amount of sacrifice). If your demesne is based in terrain that gains prosperity quickly, this may be manageable.

Also worth noting: It looks like characters are blocked from taking the decision again for 100 years.

On the other hand, once you max-out a hospital, you'll probably never again have an epidemic in that province. (Except for the Black Death, which has its own scripted behaviour which ignores disease resistance.)

some negatives of mass sacrifices can be avoided by not having counties. but it would probably not give the whole modifier althogether in this case
