Seems like no one wants to be a team player. Why is Russia propping up Turkey? Why are they sending armies into Germany's rear? Why does Austria keep such a formidable presence on their border with Russia?

Evidently only Germany is interested in fighting the English scourge.

So many good questions...
Bu also, why did Britain build three armies and no fleets last year?
As a result it has now lost Scandinavia, while two of the armies are still sitting around uselessly in Britain. And Britain has only five fleets in total.

Still need that retreat order. 2 hours till Winter deadline. 10 hours till Spring deadline.

"These retreats are written down (just like orders) and are revealed at once. No diplomacy or discussion takes place prior to writing retreat orders - all countries are on their own."

The Ottoman Empire has fallen.

The Ottoman Empire has finally fallen with the conquest of its capital, Constantinople, mirroring the fall of the Eastern Roman Empire that they themselves have conquered centuries ago, at this very spot. The Russian forces that have supported the city's defense in the past years have decided to stand aside as Austrian troops occupied the metropolis.

Tamius23, Rovsea, you have played well, and submitted orders on time. I hope to see you both in future games.

Tribute to the Ottoman Empire

I must say, the fact that somehow, despite a remarkable 20 to 14 SC advantage, the fact that the remaining alliance against Britain doesn't even have naval supremacy is disappointing, especially given how lax Britain has been building up its fleet in the first place.

Russia and Austria have 3 armies each in or near Turkey that haven't been contributing to the fight, so that's 14 v 14. And when the alliance formed, we couldn't even cooperate together and our advantage was only 18 to 16 (IIRC).

Now we're working together, and we'll soon be able to bring all our forces to the frontline. England better tremble!

(Of course, it won't last. But hey)

What I envision happening is hundreds of thousands of young German boys will die in the trenches trying to make headway against the British front, and just when Germany's combat power has culminated, Russia and Austria will carve up what remains of Germany.

Let's be frank, there isn't much Russia and Austria can do to probe the fringes of the British Empire. The fight is in the center, and only Germany can participate in it.

Either way, now that Turkey is gone...

Germany Proposes a 4-way Draw

We find ourselves today in a peculiar situation. Neither England, nor the Austro-Russian alliance have a stalemate line on their own. Therefore Germany is in a "kingmaker" position: Whoever we support wins, but it is almost impossible for us to win alone.

While a draw is certainly not as good as a win, it is certainly better than an outright loss. So Germany accepts. As for the others, let me spell out the possible outcomes for you:

Both parties agree to a draw: 4-way draw.
Austria and Russia do, but England doesn't: Germany fights with Russia and Austria until England agrees, or is defeated.
England does, but Austria and/or Russia don't: Germany fights with England until Austria and Russia agree or England wins.
No other party agrees: The fighting continues as it is today.

Stalemate.

Okay, I'm willing to accept a draw. Theoretically Russia could still win, but it's a long shot in the dark. Great Britain can't win on it's own, nor can Austria, Germany or myself, due to everyone having units well positioned to stop potential stabs (Austria can't be stabbed, I can't be stabbed by Germany or Austria without a compromise in the defenses against Britain, and Germany could be stabbed but Great Britain has more units closer to German SC's and they would benefit far more than either myself or Austria.

Under these circumstances, the draw doesn't seem an unfair outcome, given that nobody can both be the first to stab and win the game, barring a concerted effort from the stabbed player to assure that the one who stabbed achieves victory.
