I'm into july 41 fighting the Soviets, they had 330 land divs at start of Barb, june 10th 41. they have held my advance in the south and slow going in the north. Egypt holding on at Alex.

I did notice this absurb event for prepare for Barb. with a -55 days to land build time or something close to that. way to high i will adjust down to sov level in next patch, -10. I said no to the event. big change in game play if you say yes to that and that could be affecting ai germ beating up ai Sove in my one play test.
 
How save game compatible is this mod? I have an awesome Germany campaign going in the year 1945 and I'm wondering whether or not I have to finish it with the vanilla AI?

the Mod should work fine from a save game but there is always something that could be off. I don't think it will CTD but certain events might not happen.
Most of my changes are from the start of 33 and affect startup. i have redone the sov/german war for the ai, i have found that the only attack ai that works is op_defensive. So if you are to 45 then the war is over or almost and i don't change the sov ai after 45 so it won't do much.

I play the game and then mod what I see as wrong and then restart. i have not gotten to 1945, i have always had to stop but i am optomistic that the latest should do it. I don't think i have seen us or UK in Italy and i feel that that must happen and then of course D day.

In ending I don't think it will do much to play from a save game in 45.

Edit: Going in year 1947, so far no crashes or oddities seen. Or is it odd that Japan is actually winning the island hopping war against the US? Of course with some German support. ;)

Edit 2: US is running out of MP fast (perhaps they could get draft events when this happens? They could receive chunks of mp for dissent and/or lowered IC eff.?). They also have researched all the nuclear techs and are building reactors, something that horrifies me as Germany. :)

Sounds good.

I could write up a couple events for the later years of the war say like when london and Moscow are occpuied by Germ and or tie them to surrender events that way you would get some of my ai files loaded and see how that goes. To think of it I do have a new event if Japan is at war with Sov and Usa.

US has a hard time with the 2 front war and is terrible with garr it's islands and who knows about their research. that brings up a point, does the Usa have nucs. Have they researched the nuc bomb? Can you check and let me know, thanks.

My next challange is to have Usa research airborne troops and transports, they don't now, and see if I can get them to do an airborne invasion, Wow, now that would be cool. i think the devs keep them from researching airborne and using it as an offense because it does not work or they invade Berlin at first chance and die.

I'm in early 42 building up for my summer offensive against Sovs, pushing land research real hard, however I'm not even to Minsk, this will be a long war. UK stuck in Alex. I hope Usa breaks the stalmate.
 
No I didn't, but I don't think i got it in my game either. I thought maybe i had clicked no to it. i don't even know which file it is in. I will look into it, maybe something to do with setflag command.

edit, I did find the file ger_plan_z and the trigger is event 344519 and i can't find any file that starts with 3445xx, so i can't find trigger. I might just change the trigger to 1936 and leave it at that. I don't think it is a big deal and i think it should just be an AI only event. Human Germ can build a navy if it wants. What do you think?

I've been following along here for a few days and playing IC for about 2 weeks now and I have to say I DO NOT like all of the "freebie" units so in my unqualified opinion, getting rid of them for human player is a good thing.

By the way, I plan on loading your AI after I get through my Vanilla IC game. Is the 2.0a1 link the whole Mod or do I have to go back and load all the previous versions too?
 
O.K. first, i did not change the z plan and it looks like it only fires when all parties seek and confirm the naval agreement and that is very rare, UK USA, and Jap. I think Devs fixed it for 1.02.

load DB's 2.0 and then 2.0a1. i will be releasing 2.1 soon that will incorp all prev patches.

It seems all major allied nations build a horrid amount of air units. USSR (which surprisingly survived the aftermat of Bitter Peace) now years later has, according to my intel, around 30 land divisions... and around 300 air divisions. Similar situation with USA, close to 200 fighter and 200 bomber units. That's just silly. Any way to steer the AI to more realistic lines there, or did you do that already and my test just doesnt recognise the change?
 
Yes, i did mod sov, jap and maybe others builds. i thought maybe the devs fixed it in their 1.02 patch. i guess not.

Start a new game with the mod and you will get all the benefits of the mod. thanks for the update,

I am up to march 44 play as ger, Uk and us conquered N.africa. and have taken all island in med, having trouble getting into italy no luck. ita fleet is still doing good but damaged

what i noticed are a lot of ita aircraft sinking uk ships. I have increase air attack on cl, crus, and escorts. Cv's are also getiing sunk. maybe no planes on carrier?

but still not realistic, working on dday.

Dday was not firing error in event, my bad, will now fire if minsk and kiev is german in 44, other triggers still in place, UK does not join dday until at least one beach is usa, i don't know if i really like that and might have uk join in 7 day after usa.

Patch 2.1 is out. On first post. New download site.
It fixes dday and Sov GDE after pat. events end. Sov GDE would drop to 0.1 changed to 1.0. it occrus in late 43 so it will fix issue if your game is before say Nov 43.

I will be uploading ver 2.2 soon and it will incorp all pervious patches. :)

Working on Dday event and invasion files. playing through 44 i have dday working now in 44 with minsk and kiev in german hands and fires in 45 no matter what.

i also changed most invasion files so uk invade italy should work better. i will try to post an update tonight.

i am playing in july 44 figthing usa in normandy, no help from uk or can. i might be able to play the game into 45 for the first time.
 
O.K. Ver 2.1b is out, check first post for DL. You have to install each patch, sorry about that. i will be putting out Ver 2.2 soon.

On ver 2.1b i worked on dday events and files and in doing so i think i figured out how to set all the varibles for invasions so i went through all the Jap inva. files and redid them. ialso redid some Us and Uk files.

Usa now has 3 options for Dday, i hope this adds some realism. Only Ai Usa. Last test run looked real nice. it takes about 4 months for ai to launch invasion.

removed existing end dday event and added a new one. new switch file so Usa changes invasion to pacific and invades S.E. asia and maybe southern Japan.

I am still working on an event for human UK player and ai USA starting Dday. Each year USA would ask UK if they want to start Dday, USA has to have at least 100 inf. it will be in Ver 2.2,
