PART XLVII : ISRAELI ATTACK ON SINAI

January 1956

On January 8, German cabinet members and Army generals met under the leadership Fuhrer. German strategic plan was reevaluated in the meeting. The following points are decided in the meeting;

- Strategic targets for German hydrogen bombs. Minister Speer stated that deliverance of new intercontinental ballistic missiles are very important for successful German nuclear pre-emptive strike.
- In the event of a war with NATO, Germany shall be on defensive along the French border and will invade Benelux countries. ( Codenamed Case Manstein )
- In the event of a war with Warsaw Pact, Germany will invade Communist controlled German territories ( Codenamed Case Bismarck )
- Germany should avoid two-front war that is the primary reason for the defeats in the last two wars.
- In the event of NATO-Warsaw Pact war, Germany will independently implement Case Bismarck.
- Nuclear targets will be chosen according to political and economical importance of enemy cities. Moscow, London, Paris and Washington DC are marked as primary targets.
- Government will prepare a nuclear war survival program. People will be distributed necessary protective equipment.
- Underground shelters will be constructed under each city to acommodate some portion of civilians.
- In the event of a war, The Army will not dig in the cities in order to avoid nuclear attack.
- German rearmament will continue at an accelerated pace. First nuclear submarines will arrive in mid-1957 so there will be no naval activity until at least that time.

Reinhard Gehlen prepared a report about the uneasy situation in Hungary. According to the report, animosity against Rakosi rule is widespread and the opposition could organize an armed upheaval. On September 18, Israeli ground forces entered Sinai peninsula. France and Britian announced their support for Israeli attack. Hahaha, Hitler Class ICBM's? Maybe Von Braun class would have sounded better, but I guess it doesn't matter. Don't think Germany is going to get many friends with nuclear missiles named after Hitler himself!

Anyways, good updates, I am very happy to see this return, and I am very eager to see if you can manage to reunite Germany into one state again and get revenge for defeat in the Second World War.

Israeli venture into Egypt turned into disaster. Egyptian Army that was modernized by Soviets first repelled Israeli offensive and then invaded Eilat. In United States, Eisenhower and Dulles are under fire for what the opposition call coward foreign policy. The opposition heavily criticizes the government's passive policies on Hungarian revolt and Suez Crisis. The opposition demanded support for Hungarian revolution and strong opposition against French-British colonial desires. Democrats warned that United States' deterrence capability is at stake.

On October 30, facing nationwide revolts, Hungarian government collapsed. New government was formed and as a first thing, it withdrew Hungary from Warsaw Pact. Same day, President Eisenhower announced full support for Hungarian freedom fighters. He said that United States will not leave freedom-loving people of ancient Europe alone against communist oppression or fascist warmongering. Eisenhower decided to support all Hungarian groups except for groups funded by Germany who desires to set up a government led by Admiral Horthy. Dulles also announced new US doctrine of preventing both Soviet and German expansionism with all political, economical and military instruments.

On November 10, urgent NATO meeting was held. NATO leaders discussed how to answer Soviet aggression against free Hungary. President Eisenhower who is severely criticized for the appeasing policies during his term convinced other NATO leaders to issue a ultimatum to Soviet Union. An ultimatum delivered to Kremlin demanded immediate Soviet withdrawal from Hungary or NATO would intervene.

On November 11, Soviet Premier Kruschev rejected NATO ultimatum and declared war on United States saying that Soviet Union will defend itself against NATO imperialists. Within 2 hours, all Warsaw Pact and NATO countries exchanged formal war declarations.

As part of German strategic plan, Reichswehr began to cross East German border without any declaration of war. Fuhrer Donitz announced in TV broadcast that the liberation of East Germany has begun. Soviet Union declared war on Germany few hours later.

I didn't bring Von Braun from America in my alternate-scenario. Besides, what name could be better than Hitler to give our most horrifying weapon :)

I think reunificiation will not be that hard as stupid DDR AI put all of his troops in one province and left entire front empty.

May the Hitlers bring destruction to all enemies of the Reich

It will. :)

Vorwärts, vorwärts!
Vorwärts nach Osten, du stürmend' Heer!
Freiheit das Ziel, Sieg das Panier!
Führer, befiehl! Wir folgen dir!

Excellent.
It's finally time for revenge against the butchers in Moscow!

Furthermore, it's high time to restore Germany's rightful borders at the expense of the Soviet supported bandit regime in Warsaw. Possibly with the '14 borders as compensation for their perfidy and cowardice?;)

What is the use of a land covered with nuclear fallout to Fourth Reich ? :)

BTW guys i have decided to not to use nuclear bombs first for a month or so. I am not sure AI's capability to use them efficiently. So, i will wait until;

-Soviets and US use them against each other or
- Soviets use them against me first or
- A month or so passes in order to give AIs ICBMs reorganization time.

Government officials and Fuhrer immediately moved to underground facility under Bonn parliament building. Soviets or United States didn't launch immediate nuclear attack on each other in the first day of the war. Fuhrer ordered preparation of all Hitler missiles with nuclear payload but decided to wait for Soviet or US reaction first. Reichswehr also began to distribute protective equipment to the civilians and state-TV continuously broadcasts educational video about how to survive nuclear fallout.

Leipzig was captured in the night of November 11. Soviet Army reinforced Potsdam and puts stiff resistance to prevent Reichswehr advance.

Austrian government declared the entry of Austria into war on the side of NATO despite Foreign Minister Von Krosigk's threats to not do so.

Von Krosigk telephoned foreign ministers of France, Britain and United States during November 11. Von Krosigk indicated that only German ambition in that war is unification of Germany. Von Krosigk promised Germany wouldn't pursue any aggressive policy neither in the West nor in the East beyond historical Germany. Von Krosigk proposed coordinated attack against Soviets to Dulles but Dulles rejected the offer. In spite of rejection of cooperation, Dulles signaled US would remain silent over German attacks over Soviet Union. Von Krosigk's tireless efforts prevented open NATO hostility against German Reich.

Seriously, i think the Warsaw pact will steamroll Austria very soon, so prepare your defences/offences in the Southern border.

AWESOME! Long live the Fourth Reich! (or it is a third Reich 2.0?)

According to that image some posts ago, you have 7 nuclear bombs (6 now that Moscow is gone), what about Nuke Kiev, Stalingrad, Leningrad, Minsk and Baku, the other nukes you shall put in stand by to fight any possible soviet doomstack that get in your way
