Just a note, folks: we will be moving threads from the Main Forum to the Eutopanarama forum soon. So please refrain from posting anywhere but in the IC and OOC threads in Eutopiary. Otherwise, people may miss your posts as things get moved to storage.

Rednan: You can PM the GMs with your character idea, which leads us to a new order of business that will be in place for EU4.

Character approval.

It's not as bad as it sounds. The focus of EU4 will be politics, and the GMs want to make sure that all of the PCs have some political aspect. In other words, if you're hell-bent on playing a homeless alcoholic illiterate beagle, that character concept will probably not be approved.

This will be handled by having a voting registry, as we've always had. You post your character there, it's quickly reviewed by whichever GM is floating by and, if there's not immediately problematic, they'll post an "APPROVED" in your post. If there is a problem, they'll post "UNDER REVIEW" while the GMs discuss it.

You may be requested to provide more info to the Registry then in the past. Those details have not been worked out yet.

So, if you're a new player, or a returning player with a new character, and you want to RP a bit in the IC transition thread, PM the GMs your character for approval.

If you're a returning player and you want to end your current character, the IC transition thread is a place to wrap up your story. If you plan to continue with your current character, that's fine as well.

More details on the face of EU4 to follow.

This might be a good time to say that if you're planning some IC beyond talking and propaganda, you probably need to clear it with GMs first. No bombings, assassinations, invasions, etc., without GM approval, please.

Can someone give me a brief review of the last week?

The war with Cuba turns very sour. Rioting breaks out, the GA building is burned. Three people are theoretically President at once. The Army seizes control of the Government. Government ministers and Assembly members are flown into exile, escape, or accept house arrest. The relevant threads are near the top in the Eutopanorama.

A new Eutopia! Interesting, I'll be looking forward to it, I just hope that new Eutopia won't be too much of a banana republic.
