Background

​
The year is 1086 and the situation of Iberia is uncertain at best. Castille has managed to take the North of Iberia but in the East only death is a certainty. Only 2 nations stand here and they are the Grand Duchy of Barcelona(called this because Bereunger Ramon's Court politely told him the rest of Europe would not recognize him as a king) and the Kingdom of Aragon. The Holy Roman Empire owned a county in Norhtern Spain at this time which seemed to go rather unnoticed.

Which brings us to the hero (and possible villain) of our story Duke Berenguer Ramon II of Barcelona.

All around he is a pretty loveable guy who is probably planning to stab you in the back to get to the food you have stored in your castle (which he is sure tastes better than his).
I intend to write this in a Narrative/ Comedy way( I don't blame you if you find it cheesy :laugh:) style. I am open to suggestions and will have Chapter 1 up soon.

*Snicker*So he's a drug? Also, you have the gender wrong. Looks interesting though, try not to be the target of the Jihads. That and steam roll those naughty Muslims!
 
Interesting. I'm running my own campaign as the House of Barcelona right now, and it'll be fun to see how someone else handles it while I'm playing mine.

One minor English note: I think the word you're looking for is "hero." "Heroine" is used exclusively for females in English, so you might want to change that unless the good Duke is getting a sex change in the course of the story ;)

Chapter 1: War (What an amazing start we have already)
I am Duke Berenguer Ramon II of Barcelona but I reall hate formalities don't you? So just call me Ramon. The strangest thing happened last night and no one will believe me, those cynical idiots. Anyway last night I seem to have woken up and began to walk down the halls of my castle when out of nowhere I saw a ghost.
"Ramon!" It shrieked," You shall do as I say and your Duchy will rule the world."
"Go away!" I screamed, but the ghost entered my body and has not left since. Oh well I can use any help I can get considering everyone else I have around me are just as useful as a few extra bodies to provide fodder for the Moors.
Well the next day I was woken up to one of my servants telling me I had begun screaming at a wall and fallen over. I did not want anyone to know I was possesed so I simply had the servant blamed for trying to kill me and hung for the enjoyment of the peasants. I also realized when I woke up that I was over the age of 30 and still not married.
I decided to look through the, what I thought before useless, book of a list of nobles throughout Europe that I had barely made it into. I saw that the Heir to the Duchy of Anjou was 18 by this point and unmarried. I sent diplomats to tell the Duke of Anjou to see if I could marry his daughter and soldiers to kidnap her if she did not comply. Both groups had to do their jobs and both did so well.....

With a bride in my possesion.... erm.. I mean with my new loving wife that is completely in love with me now married to me I could focus on other things. Well within 3 days of this one of my Barons died making me the Baron of some worthless little city. View attachment 62123
I looked to the West and saw that the Nation Llieda laid within the boundries of my Duchy! I quickly asked for a list of his allies and saw he only had one and this one was already at war with the Holy Roman Empire and I knew he would be of no help to them because of course that big giant monstrous, umm I mean big giant graceful nation, will kill them surely!
I sent my Declaration of War and then decided to see the estimates of the Relative Strenghts of our armies.

Thanks for Noticing that! I kind of shot through this fast and wasn't thinking! Thanks for the support nice to see people are already intrested within minutes of its upload!

Plus does anyone know how to get these pictures to show up like other people's AARs Im really not good at doing all the Links and stuff.
Hopefully Chapter 2 will be up tomorrow! I promise it is longer and has some intresting plot twists!
 
How to upload pictures:
Go to imageshack.us or photobucket.com (I personally use photobucket), sign up, then upload your pictures. Then, go to each picture after you've uploaded it and if you're using imageshack copy the 'forum' link, and if you're using photobucket just click it, it'll copy the URL automatically. The URL you copy from photobucket comes with
tags, but if you're using another site, then paste the URL of your picture where you want it in your chapter, then write
at its end.

Sorry for a long wait but I have had schoolwork, technichal errors, procrastination and many things going on in my life so I havent been able to focus on this.
I hope to put out the next chapter tonight or tomorrow!
I had already typred it but my internet crashed and I got disprited xD

It's fine. I've already been forced to restart my AAR twice cause of stupid updates, I can wait.
