As a long time member i would like to express my joy for this release. After a time of really mediocre releases (counting from Rome..), you restored my faith to you. With a couple of patches, mods and a future expansion this game has tremendous potential.

P.S. i don't have enough words to describe the quality of the music.

In my opinion, the only release I didn't like was HoI 3. But I too wish to show my approval for the game.

Agreed, this is easily the best game Paradox has released since EU2. Johan, if you read this, even the haters on Languish are addicted to CK2. Higher praise than a 9.5 from a no-name game review site, in my opinion. :)

In regards to day one releases this is the best release ever from Paradox all of that bad feeling I got from HOI3 is gone, this is a fantastic game and I hope more people buy it. I'm enjoying this a lot more than other Paradox releases.

I LIKED HoI3, but yeah, this game rocks harder than a troupe of minstrels with a wagon-load of mead. I'm a few hours in, and shock of shocks, there's been NO game breaking bugs! It's polished, it's fun... in this day and age, you kind of assume that Day One PC game releases are going to be garbage and you'll have to wait at least two months for the game to be playable, so this took me by surprise. The save files are bloating like crazy and I still have to cheat to play as a pagan, but I can deal with that.

Excellent release and it certainly was worth the wait.

... and the maps, they look so awesome and beautiful. I'm dreaming of these maps in an EU4.... :)

This game is just so full of marvellous athmosphere. Combined with excellent gameplay this is a game that really drags you in to its heart.

Who said computer games can't be art?
