I remember when Victoria:AEUtS came out the name was sort of, shall we say, a negative selling point for some. I for one didn't have a problem with it, and still don't but perhaps a more concise and gender neutral name could be agreed upon.

One that captures the era, without undue focus on any one monarch or regime. Something... magnificent!

Victoria is... Victoria

In fairness two things hindered the game, the UI and marketing - or lack thereof, as far as I know.

Maybe Victoria [Insert good/proper and glorious time period related name here]

I just hope PI has learned something from Vicky1. A game called Victoria with a fat, old lady on the cover sells BADLY.

Well, his eye bothered me for months.;)

What about the charging soldier from Ricky? :D

Or some examples of 'luxury furniture' on the cover :)

I think a collage of a steam engine, an iron-clad, a British red-coat and/or Johnny Reb and Billy Yank (for the American market) will do fine.

Likewise. I'm sure there is market research into this, but I bet a picture of someone holding a gun on the cover increases a games' sales by about 15%. Why not this:

On the other hand, you don't want to draw a bunch of ADHD-addled twits with shiny violent packaging and a misleadingly rarr-grr-manly-splosions name, only to have them play the game and find it's a slow-moving, complex grand strategy. Victoria without the opportunity to be a snooty elitist prat on the forums is no such thing, sirrahs! :D

I think the name isn't really an issue - anyone who'd pass up a game because it, eeewww, has a gurl name and thus threatens his masculinity or something is probably not going to want to buy it anyway. Besides, what with the mad money rolling in from HOI3, I think Paradox can afford to make a not-as-profitable cult favourite. A "Good Night and Good Luck" to HOI3's Ocean's 12, so to speak. :)

Good box art. Make the 2 nice and big, makes it look like its improved. Keep the Victoria text small. Put lots of guns, perhaps some soldiers, maybe even a tank. An explosion is needed, an attractive color will make it sell.

Remind me Zmaj?

Doubt it. A pretty chick isn't enough to give a game an adult rating.;)

As a matter of fact, the title might remind potential gamers of certain Monty Python sketches:wacko::

Ah. Yes.:D

Not if the rating board believes that some sleazy stuffs are secretly embedded like the "coffee mod"~~~:D
