So, I feel like our lords at P'dox are at least embracing more culture dissolution events (such as Norse -> Norwegian, Swedish, and Danish).

I do wonder a bit about the Saxon culture, and the lack of Dutch.

Pictish might be similar to the English melting pot, but with celts influencing it.

Visigothic will probably go Andalusian if under muslim/arab rule, and split into some of the spanish cultures under christian rule.
Or maybe it will be closer to Norse, and split along the de jure kingdom lines.

Anybody know of the history (or what we know of it) that would affect the culture setup in the steppes or india?

And idk if I'm ready for how massive the Umayyads will be...

Culture dissolution undoubtedly means complex culture evolution...that's not gonna be limited to the Norse.

Also one thing the players have been craving for all this time, and PDox delivers! :)

Why did you wonder about the Saxons? Dutch didn't exist at this time. It was a dialect of Frankish (not Old French or Romance, Germanic Frankish). So it will likely a split from Frankish (I hope Frankish in this screen is Germanic Frankish and not again French...)

WE NEED A MONOLITHIC SLAVIC CULTURE!
Svantevit wills it!

Er, in 769? No, not really.
I'm sorry, but if in 863 Moravians can understand the Macedonian dialect then it's a bit absurd to have divided cultures in 769.
If not one Slavic culture, there should be West, East and South Slavic cultures which would divide later on.

It was just confirmed in the trailer on the twitch stream. Here's a screenshot of independent realms I grabbed.

I look at this map, see "german" and "saxon" and i am quite disappointed, really hope that it isnt the final map.

Aside from that, I really wished it wouldve been a DLC for the lategame..
