Windows 8 and pre-order bonuses

1. Where are the user files (savegames, settings etc.) located under Windows 8?

2. I pre-ordered the Deluxe edition. It was my understanding that I get 800 bonus gold to start with from buying the Deluxe edition, plus another 800 for pre-ordering. However, when I start a new game, I only have 800, not 1600. What's going on?

1. All game data should be in Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of Pen and Paper and you'll find the saves and logs in \knightspp_Data

If you can't find it in there, I'll have to take a look and see if something is not working on W8

2. You should indeed have 1600 gold if you pre-order the deluxe edition. If you check DLC Properties for Knights of Pen and Paper (right click the game in Steam, click properties, click the DLC tab) what items are listed there?

Yes, I have the Wizard, the sci-fi items and the Farm Village map.

One possible cause of the problem: I pre-ordered from GamersGate, but I only put the code GG gave me into Steam yesterday. Would that cause it?
